ASM'04 Seminars
category: parties [glöplog]
Were any of the 64k seminars at ASM'04 recorded?
There's one interview-type deal with Waffle moderating, showing fr08 and such, but are any of the *actual* seminars recorded (and available) as well?
They should be fun to watch. And I like those accents.

They're for sure recorded but not shown on asmtv, I think they should be included in the upcoming asm dvd.
Yeah, i saw some guy sitting and filming atleast some of the 64k seminar (well, lets call kkrieger seminar that aswell).
I can't really see why you want to see them, there was only one good seminar in this category - the kkrieger one, and what saved that one was mostly one button :-)

Well, I kinda wanted to see them to be able to tell if I wanted to see them, that's the whole point.

i gotta stop missing the good streams. :)
The seminars were recorded and shown on AssemblyTV's seminar channel (webcast only).
We are currently making the video conversions and they will be uploaded then. The files will also appear on the forth coming ASM'04 DVD compilation.
I can't help but wonder if somebody feels that the seminars sucked. My honest opinion which I believe is shared by a number of people is that the sessions rocked. David Fox's seminar session was simply superb, Jeff Minter was as wacky as always and the scene sessions were simply unique. David Fox even told me afterwards that the session was one of the highpoints of his life.
To be really honest, I'm simply put off by people dissing the seminar speakers or the seminars. I and the speakers put in huge amount of effort to make the seminars happen and I'm proud about how they turned out. Dissing and whining on pouet.net is just so much easier than putting yourself on the line and creating something in the real world.
That said, ASM'05 seminars will be even better =).

"We used to put this on and gather with our friends and listen to Pink Floyd and stuff..."
"And what did you smoke?"
"*grin* Just normal *cough* cigarettes..."

sagacity: David Fox' seminar at The Gathering for your download convenience.
Minter ruled.
Having Farb-rausch right before Conspiracy was really cool, if only for compare and contrast. Though there was a lot more (:
Did I mention Minter ruled?
(Is there no standard anymore?)

All of the seminars I attended were really great. I especially enjoyed the Farb-Rausch one and give huge props to Melwyn for opening up for everyone. :)
Of course I'll be picking up an Asm04 DVD when it arrives, but I can't wait until they're first available for download!
