Site does not contain much sensitive information so it that sense it doesn't matter that much. I would anyway prefer https over http any day regardless site's content.

It only makes a difference if you want a POUET EXTRA GOLD PLUS ENTERPRISE SUPER ACCOUNT for which you have to pay. A lot.

It makes a difference if there's content on pouet, that's not publicly accessible, and you don't want some network sniffers to get ahold of.

I've just tried changing all of my URL files for individual PC prods to "https://" and they're still showing up as plain "http://" - what is going on? Is there some kind of cache I should clear, or should I just move the contents to an HTML file?

It's not just about network sniffers these days, but also MITM attacks, which are not necessarily always done by the evil guys or secret services or whatever - I have seen wifi hotspots trying to inject ads into HTML content. So generally it's a good idea to go for HTTPS when it's available.

What waffle and xtr1m said, http should be deprecated and just redirect to https. It's especially annoying because the sessions don't work across the two protocols.

I'm trying to migrate to https: now, but my URL files are being pains in the ass by not changing even though I've edited them. Are URL files (Internet Shortcuts) deprecated too?

Maybe you're doing it wrong. Have you tried calling tech support?

I only used URL files as they could be counted individually, but it was harder to do so with links in HTML files, but at least it's a lot, lot easier to edit an HTML file.

I've just now migrated all my URL files to a single HTML, thanks to TXTcollector, ReNamer, Notepad++ and some judicious search and replace.
