This is the readme for the D-bug fixed
version of:
Square v2 by Hemoroids
This version fixes the few issues that
are present in the original release.
Mainly, it is now possible to run the
demo under TOS 2.xx. This includes
STEs and MegaSTEs. Also it is possible
to run the demo from a hard disk (read
below for more information).
If your machine has only 2Mb of RAM
(the original demo's requirements)
and you have TOS 2.xx then you have
to put the file called "SQUARE" into
a floppy disk, rename it to
"SQUARE.PRG", put it in the AUTO
folder and boot your machine from
floppy. Do not boot any hard disk
drivers, just bypass everything and
do a pure floppy boot.
With 4Mb of RAM the demo should run
correctly under TOS 2.06 on STEs and
MegaSTEs when run even from hard
drive. Just run "DBUGSQR.TOS" and
everything should work just fine.
Running from the desktop and hard disk
can be problematic, try to have as much
as a clean system as possible. This
means: no boot managers, AUTO folder
programs or accessories loaded.
One final note for MegaSTE users:
make sure you run the demo with the CPU
speed set to 8Mhz.
