Mazurka is a PC music composing group committed to producing high
quality PC compositions for a wide variety of purposes. It was formed by
me (bOb) in October of 1994 after the break-up of a small Toronto called
Atomic (Allied Trackers of Modules Incognito). Atomic was not very good
overall, and broke up because it never had much of a chance
internationally.
I formed Mazurka with the intention of creating an internationally-
recognized music group. I've attracted some of the best musicians from
the Canadian scene as well as some others to achieve this. In this short
time Maz has become a well-known group.

Well, This is for Disk 4. We decided not to wait around for the Midas
Code to be released. We had a growing number of songs that we HAD to
send out. So. Here they are. As you can see we ARE alive and kicking. :)
The REALLY odd thing you may notice about this disk is that some of
the composers who made songs are no longer with the group. That is
because the songs that appear on the disk were made before their depar-
ture. We didn't feel it would be a good idea to let them go to waste,
so... Hello's to REPLAY and ATLANTIC.

This is rollo here, as we could not wait for Midas Sound System 0.4 to
be released, I used 0.32c, therefore there could be some bugs with certain
sound cards, if you do encounter any, please contact me. I'd like to know
so I could fix it. I will be venturing into a 1oo% pure assembler music
disk player for the next or the one after release, which will be full
protected mode for song loading, etc... If you have any comments or stuff
about the mod player, contact me, I will be releasing source code, its
written in Borland C++ v3.1 using inline assembler and Midas Sound System
0.32b.
wicked, l8r... rollo
There seems to be some confusion about what happened with our roster.
This is exactly what happened, so listen up.
Our old WHQ got a call from Texas. We were all excited. We invited the
caller (MALAKAI) in to our group and that was that. Malakai's music, while
not bursting with originality (He didn't make most samples and sounded
very purple-motion-ish), was exactly what we liked. So he was in and we
started to work on our next disk. Our music coder, Rollo, was deciding
what samples to put on-screen while our songs were being played. He
decided to follow the DMP format. So then our prez announced that we
should all put our songs sample list in a set format (The idea was
started by TEG). They thought it would look more professional. TITLE,
COMPOSER, SAMPLES, MESSAGE- In that order.It seemed like a good idea at
the time. Almost immediatly afterwards, The WHQ was down. When we called
Bob he said that half our composers had quit, and that he'd formatted.
Apparently Atlantic and Malakai were not happy with the group in
general. Some things had not been handled the way they wanted, some people
added without consultation, So they left, taking Replay and Mayhem with
them. When they were called the said that they felt the rest of the group
was inferior and that this merger would allow them to grow. They didn't
form a NEW group, they all joined MAL's OLD group: Neophyte. They released
a disk with songs composed under MAZURKA and with MAZURKA samples. And in
a small insample text file, they added "All samples (C) Neophyte". The same
samples our PREZ spent $400 on. At any rate, Replay And Mayhem's came back
feeling guilty. Because of our state of dissarray, No WHQ, Replay left
again. We feel that when he sees this, our new WHQ and the announcement
that we are moving towards DEMO's he'll come back... We hope.
The other two are not welcome back.
