The vector world has been finished the day we finished the º intro itself !! And all the Gouraud related stuff are only some º very young trials put there to have some consistant parts... º º Moreover, we have absolutely no EXE packer ready, and we had no time º to pack our different parts together in a single EXE º º So, please forgive us, and we promise that our next productions will º be better º þÍÍÍÄÄÄÄ º º The rules of ASS'95 obliged us to use two different mod players in º the intro... so, we had problem with the different ways to handle º the timer, and we decided that the intro wouldn't be synchronised !! º Yes, it's lame º So, if you want to enjoy the thing at the original speed, try it on º a 486 DX2/66... and neither less nor more powerfull computer. º º You will need : º þ a 386... and a 486 DX2/66 for experiencing the real thing º þ HIMEM, EMM, QEMM... whatever you want since we use only less º than 500 Ko of low memory º þ plus the other habitual stuff (keyboard, screen, brain...) º º How to run the... º þ Competition version º just type DREAM [x] where x is the optional 2x0h specification º of your GUS baseport º þ CD version º if DREAM alone doesn't work, try to set the Midas parameters : º -sx Force Sound Device x (1 = GUS, 2 = PAS, 3 = WSS, 4 = SB, º 5 = No Sound) º -pxxx Force I/O port xxx (hex) for Sound Device º -ix Force IRQ x for Sound Device º -dx Force DMA channel x for Sound Device º -mxxxx Set mixing rate to xxxx Hz º -oxxx Force output mode (8 = 8-bit, 1 = 16-bit, s = stereo, º m = mono) º þÍÍÍÄÄÄÄ º º Two versions of the intro exist : º º þ The competition version is the TRUE thing in our point of view : º its size is under 64Ko, it supports only GUS, and is 100%ASM º þ The "CD version" has been made only to comply with the strange º rules of ASS'95. It has a lot of disadvantages : its size is far º greater than 64Ko, it supports GUS and SB, it uses the Pascal º version of Midas (because very very very little time to do it) º º So, since it most unlikely that we will do a "final" version, for we º prefer to spend our time on further projects, be sure to get the º competition version. º þÍÍÍÄÄÄÄ º º Aaaargh !! º We planned to release this intro with a cool chiptune from bopy... º But we (Kortal & Fanor) had a MEGABIGPROBLEM during the linking : º the module had a bug and didn't work well with Gusplay or Midas... º So we had to take another one... º But you will hear this tune in a further production !! º Sorry bopy ! º º The credits : º º Gouraud stuff, Julia Stuff........................Fanor º Unreal's Landscape................................Kortal º Music.................................................?? (*) º Smokin' girl.........................................Fub º º (*) if the author read this, please contact us º º ModPlayers : º º Competition version...........GusPlay / Robban / Cascada º CD version........................Midas / Sahara Surfers º þÍÍÍÄÄÄÄ º º Fanor thanks his little brother a.k.a. Benot Dumas a.k.a. º Da-Thing-Out-Of-The-Space, for lending him his computer while º Kortal was at home º º Fanor also thanks Garfield... without him, Da-Thing-Etc would not º have lend him his computer. Well... it's quite complicated, but you º are not supposed to understand. Thanks Garfield !!! º º Kortal wants to be sorry, but at the origin there have to be a º VectorWorld on the intro instead of the Landscape but as there were º a lot of bugs... and lack of time... I decide to put my landscape º wich was coded a long time ago, and wich I appreciate a lot ! º þÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÍÄÄÄÄ F
