"This is not real music. It sounds really strange." Once again a fellow being feels disturbed by the pulse noises coming out of my phones. Not the first one, not the last one, for sure. Yeah, it sounds strange. At least he got that one thing about chipmusic right. The harder the noises, the closer it is to perfection. "This is not real music". So what is it, what music is about? Melody? Harmony? Arrangement? Passion? Expression of self? Playing an acoustic or electronic instrument? Are there special rules for real music? Or is it a matter of culture? Experimental? So what do we have here? A non-commercial product, done for nothing else but for the pleasure of its creators. Born of a subculture which is based on trying to do what is said to be impossible. A bunch of pals bundling their creativity to deliver joy and fun. We have melody, harmony, interesting arrangements. Yes, we are different. Our instrument is a small limited piece of silicon treated by power of our fantasy. This is passion, expression of self. This is real music, no doubt.
