        ------------------------------------------------------------------

this demo aims at spiritual delight

        ------------------------------------------------------------------

This demo likes expensive hardware but works on following:
        . DOS but also under Win95 DOS box . VGA & VESA1.2 . 16MB RAM
You will do better if you have:
        . fast Pentium . 32 MB RAM . VESA 2+
To get some audio out you ought to own:
        . a soundcard, my friend
. that might be a GUS or SB or something

VESA 2+ naturally means the graphics card capabilities,
and is sometimes also referred as VBE2.
If you have problems it might mean that you don't have graphics
card that supports VESA2/VESA3 resolutions or depths. Fear not,
this is only a software problem and can easily be fixed by
getting the excellent software from Scitech Software,
Scitech Display Doctor (SDD) which can be downloaded from
        http://www.scitechsoft.com
Be advised that Sexadelic does not need VESA extensions,
but our previous products do. As many other demo products.

This demo participated in Assembly 1998 PC demo competition.
Result was a very unexpected 4th place.
Honestly, we don't claim it should definitely have won but
something like Top3 would have been right. What then did happen?

The voting was sadly screwed, and guess it's the fault of this
public system where anyone, even those totally out of scene, can
vote. And you can guess, I'm talking about the Quake-players and
other nonsceners. Nothing against them, but if you get votes
by "look ma I got 3D engine" and "let's do something funny and
idiot shit" stuff, well, oh well, oh my. Trauma won their 1st
place well and honest, and we lost the 3rd place by 1point which
is righly honest too but if something like the Hannu & Kerttu 2000
animation is allowed to take part in DEMO COMPETITION instead
the Wild Demo then it's time to go nuts.

There you got it. Out of steam. Relaxing..... Relaxing.....

        And by the way,
thanks to Gerdy for lending hardware and the drugs while
our boys were creating this demo.

This demo is the fifth Byterapers release on the PC platform.
Before we were active on the Amiga, releasing something like
20 demos plus other material. Originally were are a C-64 group
and have released (not lying) over 150 demos between 1986-1989
and 1992-1996, not counting the intros or other material.

        Our previous PC releases are:
          -Drill Me, Please Me
          -Pandemic
          -Ya'Dot Klimon
          -Hyperventilation

What is this Byterapers thing anyway?

             It's a way of life.

             It's a religion.

It's a sense of belonging and being together.

It's something, that you just don't 'get into' instantly. You join
the body, you slowly merge into it and become one. You become a
        Byteraper, Byterapers comes into you.

A wonderful merger, a process taking even years to complete, becoming a
Byteraper joins you with other happy fellows doing stupid
things together, and sometimes even booting up your computer.

this is the byterapers history bit
        veryvery short version
full version available on the website

Byterapers - the reason for your erection - The Story!

Byterapers' history spans from the year 1986, when
four little would-be fellas started using name
"Byterapers" on their small releases. In two years group
had grown into multi-national and rather famous,
starting 1988 on Amiga. In 1989 the group stopped C-64
activities and concentrated on making career on the
Amiga, making rather well there as well. Around
1991-1992 group started a long sleep, resting from
earlier efforts and doing a lot of own inner stuff,
picnics, ByteParties etc and often trying to produce
something new but never finishing any of these.

From this six year period Byterapers, known in short as
(B), had released around 150 demos on C-64, not counting
intros or other small stuff, a countless number of cracks
and all-time high position as No:6 in world's
cracking-group charts (an activity which was later banned
and stopped completely), seven musicdisks on Amiga, about
20 Amiga-demos not counting intros and other small stuff,
bunch of weird fun-releases, an uncontested fame of heavy
partydudes always drunk, noisy, doing strange stuff,
looking strange, wandering from bar to bar but overall
        being quite harmless.

        (B) made comeback in 1994 by releasing the C-64 World of Code
-demo in spring'94. This resulted in many scene-awards like:

        -comeback of the year
        -demogroup of the year
        -demo of the year
        -coder of the year

Products like the World of Code -series (WOC, WOC 2, WOC 3),
Extremes and Follow The Sign III are top notch releases
on C-64 -demoscene, and our eight atest entries in
democompetitions have gained five wins, two second places,
        one lowly fourth.

Today Byterapers works actively primarily on the PC-platform.
Our demomaking activities have culminated lately and we're
producing a steady line of excellent demos. Or so we hope.
Currenly we are still honing our skills, but especially trying
to create something that is a bit different from the usual
demo crop. Great 3D engine does not make everything. You need
idea, design and skills to fit things together. And we are
getting better on this. We hope you have liked what you've
seen from us, and maybe you appreciate the fact that we don't
totally rely on our 3D engine - unlike many of the other
        demogroups out there.

We are still on the C-64, though no more as active as
some time ago. We have promised to create one more C-64 demo.
Then it's finito. An end. (B) will still run on C-64 parties
and other 64-activities but the demomaking days will then be
over. Unfortunately times change, and no-one can be expected
        to do same thing forever.

While making demos we hop on parties and enjoy our lives to
the fullest. 1998 looks good for Byterapers.

The Web-pages are up and easily the most comprehensive
group-pages in Finland, and we are planning to release new
        demos at approxiate times.

You can find lots more information from the official
        (B) website at http://www.byterapers.scene.org/
