Stront by Teenage
[ STRONT v0.1] a Phenomenon of Teenage release Januari, 2000 When Kweek betas reached version 9, I decided it was time for a break. So I took my beers to the city, where I wandered around the beatiful industrial sites, opened my ears to the music of 'progression' and bombarded my perceptive faculty (*) with the images of pollution. This, indeed, didn't turn out to be too positive for my inspiration, because I rushed home to code a Tron clone in half an hour. "TRON!!??" -"yeah. Tron." After a while, I had to visit the toilet for some reason. And, while I cooled my bare naked butt upon the cold stone, the title of the game, came to me. Or, better said, came out of me. Because, - let me tell you a secret - stront is a Dutch word for 'shit'. Got it? S TRON T! It's like shit, but with a game inside! Happy diggin'. [ about the game ] The aim of this 2 player multiplayer game is to cut-off your opponent's path, so he crashes into your line, into a wall, or into his own line. Note: the funny thing about this is that you can 'paint' all kinds of structures. It often occurs that you make 'holes'. And your opponent runs in one of them. Take this advice: When such an event happens, please don't shout: "Hey! You're coming into my hole". Sounds rather rude. The controls are simple. Just play it, you'll see. This version only supports the powerpad and the keyboard. Someday, I'll add that good old d.. ahem... stick. too. You can hit F10 while playing to return to the main menu. This game should run without any problems on the Falcon. I don't know wether the rasters will be displayed correctly on all VGA monitors, because not all of them can cope with the fake 50hz. Final note: this is version 0.1, so there might be an update. Maybe a 6 player version? Anyway, got to do some Kweek coding, too. Because Kweek will rule.
