But when you turn on the amplifier on a guitar, it changes it's original sound at that very moment. Every artist uses the techniques which are available in one's age. I'm sure if Van Gogh could have bought a camera, he'd made photos, not paintings. I think it's a big mistake not to use modern technologies. I'm very annoyed when people say that it's very 'easy' to make music with computers because if you have good samples, you have the song which you do not even have to play. This is a mistaken view. If you have good samples, you still need to find cool riffs, write good songs, imagine the sound of the whole thing and put it together. The advantage of this technique is that you have much more chances. You can think in a wider range, a much more opened spectrum. Music is just what people make with instruments, no matter if the instrument is a computer or a piece of wood with some strings which is practically a guitar. The artist starts the work from zero no matter what the instrument is. Nobody sells ready-made songs. No machine is capable of doing that... ...Anyway, we want to prove that it's no use thinking in a closed space. Jon Clayden vocalist - Pitch Shifter." .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | About This Phase | `----------------------------------------------------------------------------' Well... finally phase 2. is finished. Originally we didn't expect it to be ready in such a short time because we're fucking busy. There were plans for some singles (Above 2., Ritual...) but we decided to release them in one pack. What's special about this disk is that all songs are in some way in connection with drugs. All modules have a small trance influence... no HC this time...:) As I've mentioned we've lotsa things to do and in a way it's difficult to put these releases together, but it's fun. We don't want to disappear for a long while, so the next few songs are probably gonna be released when they are finished. Also some metal is on the way, so you should check out the new Tracktor stuffs... What I'd like to mention is that we got only a few reactions for this label, and that no coders or GFX- artists contacted us since Tracktor was formed. I hope we'll receive more reactions in the future... Signed: Cyborg & Bat .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | Technical Information | `----------------------------------------------------------------------------' TRACKTOR PLAYER V1.O (C)opyrighted by Tracktor l995 Release date: O9/O5/95 Code, ASCii: Bat Design: Bat & Cyborg Player: Midas Sound System by Sahara Surfers Control Keys: Left arrow - Jump one pattern backward Right arrow - Jump one pattern forward Up arrow - Scroll the comment up Down arrow - Scroll the comment down F - Flash on/off F1 - Decrease Red F2 - Increase Red F3 - Decrease Green F4 - Increase Green F5 - Decrease Blue F6 - Increase Blue F7 - Decrease RGB (until one colour reaches value 'O') F8 - Increase RGB (until one colour reaches value '63') Flash may damage your monitor and your eyes... :) So if you're not watching just listening, you should turn it off... We'll not feel responsible if we'll see some blind dudes in Tracktor T-Shirts =) and also, we don't take responsibility if the player blows your hi-fi or computer or whatever... Note that Flash works only when volume is equal to 64. We have seen some strange things on computers with Cache and EMS. :) So, just in case... The player should run on: Gravis UltraSound Gravis UltraSound MAX Creative Labs Sound Blaster series Media Vision Pro Audio Spectrum series Microsoft Windows Sound System ...and on the clones of these. It'll also run if you don't have a soundcard. If the player fails to detect your card, it'll run in the No Sound mode :)... But the songs can be played with external players as well - anyway, they are played correctly with the Tracktor Player. The Sound System would also be capable of playing MODs and MTMs, but in this phase there was no need for this. Some Tips: If you have a GUS and the player hangs up, try a clean boot (XMS) and run 'ultrinit.exe' before starting... If your soundcard doesn't have on-board memory, then try an Expanded Memory Manager because Midas Sound System supports EMS... simple ehh? :) Anyway... you can listen to the songs with an external player so... .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | Credits for this production | `----------------------------------------------------------------------------' Code, ASCii, Design : Bat All music by: Cyborg Player: Midas Sound System by Sahara Surfers .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | Greetings | `----------------------------------------------------------------------------' --- Cyborg's personal greetings go to: --- Bat, Cyberdancer, Raider, Genesis, Atx, Trs, Rian, Richy, Mr. Bungle, Bandy, Nomad, Sexton, Woland, Kuki, Oscillator, Hanx, Pozitron, Woody, Antforce, ...and everyone else on the Hungarian scene! also: Keith 3o3, Cosmic, Cannibal, Randy Andy, DAC, Sunny, Deimon, SQD, Blue Adonis, Model-3ooo, C-quencer, Outzider, Kaiowa, Achmed, Necros, Basehead, Maelcum, Mordicus, Masterbeat, MeløD, Avalanche, Spike... ...and all musicians on this planet... keep it up dudes! --- Bat's personal greetings go to: --- Antforce, Atx, Bandy, Basehead, Blaze Runner, Cannibal, Cat, Chuck Biscuits, Celtic Matrix, Cosmic, Cyberdancer, Cyborg, DAC, Das, Deimon, Dgt, Drifter, Figaro, Genesis, Hanx, Home B., Ivy, Judge Dredd, Keith 3o3, Minstrel, Moonchild, Mr. Bungle, Necros, Nomad, Oscillator, Raider, Redax, Reebok, Reid, Rian, Richy, Sabe, Sexton, SQD, Sunny, Taz, Tim, Trajic, Trs, Vivid, Woland, Woody, Zoly, Zone --- Group greetings go to: --- Blacktron, Delirium, Fiction, Firg, Five Musicians, Halcyon, Hard Behaviour Excitation, Kosmic Free Music Foundation, Machine Fun Crew, Members Of Mayday, Mental Momentary Aberration, Moz[IC]art, Pure, Radical Rhythms, Shock!, Traxx, Unicorn, Urin8, Voiz, Xeed .----------------------------------------------------------------------------. | How to contact us | `----------------------------------------------------------------------------' - by modem: TRACKTOR WHQ: Dune ii.
