Bland
bland a textmode intro This is an intro by a few artists spread out across the planet. Speaking to you is ae, the coder. Do not ask what `ae' means. I came to Pinball Wizard one day with this idea and a routine. He liked it, but then dropped out of sight for a very long time. So, I wrote all of the routines and started looking for another artist. After about 3 days, I had finished the routines themselves, but needed art. Fortunately, PW agreed to do the art. Then, Zapper agreed to do some music after I poked into #trax and asked for help. Again, this was quite a stroke of luck, for Zapper's music turned out quite well, and perfect for the task at hand. The sound libraries took the longest part to do, in part because finding an asm-linkable sound library is a difficult task in itself, but also because the documentation was a bit sparse (and incorrect :) at times. Phred of OTM was extremely helpful in working out the kinks, and I thus highly recommend the Bells, Whistles, and Sound Boards music playing library. Enough of my long-winded talk, though. This intro ought to run fairly smoothly on any speed computer. It uses the 80x25 and 80x50 text modes for all effects. It is written in 100% asm, and uses the BWSB sound libraries for all sound output. It intro has some basic requirements. -386 or higher processor -VGA card -Sound card Code by ae Email: shavelk@agora.rdrop.com irc: ae Graphics by Pinball Wizard Email: pwizard@rbdc.rbdc.com irc: PWiZaRD Music by The Zapper! One more quick note: I will give out the source if you can compose a convincing, coherent, and cogent argument (alliteration helps ;). Later! -ae
