Full Credits are going like this: Code: StingRay (40K is not enough!!!) Graphics: Repaz 3D Object: rTG Sound: Mr. Vain/Secretly! (Thanx for the Tune Dude!) BetaTesting: Ramses/Remedy (Thanx to you too!) Requirements: 68020+, 2MB CHIP, 4MB FAST, AGA ChipSet Note: No Hardware checks are made in the Intro (Size problems) so it may crash your machine if you don't have the right Hardware configuration! Some words from the Coder: ************************** Most of the Routines used in this Intro are very old (i.e. the ShadeBob Part was coded in '93). But since I don't like the new-school Style that much, I decided to release an Old-School Intro to bring back the memories of the past. And as you might have recognized, some others had the same Idea too :) In case you think, that the design sucks, please keep in mind, that I had to do everything by myself and I'm just a coder, so.... And as a coder I must say, that converting Gfx, putting parts together, to put it in a nut-shell, doing the slave-work, is the most boring while coding some stuff. But I like the Intro anyway, even I couldn't include all Routines due to the 40K limitation (Parts left out: transforming Dot-Vectors consis- ting of approx. 5000 Dots per Object displayed in 4 Bitplanes, Dot-Vector-Scroller rotating around all 3 axis (of course!), Dot LandScape (did I say that I like Dots? :)), 2D texture-mapped Vector Logo, Hidden-Part MusicDisk with original C64 SID-Tunes etc.). I also wanted to use a Sine-Scroller in the ChessBoard Part so that it looks like the old Vision Factory Crack-Tro, but due to a weird bug and having no free space for the Sine Table (who said 40K is enough for everything?) this one had to be left out too... About the EndPart: I really had (and I still have) my doubts if I should include it or not because it may destroys the idea of the Intro. But on the other side I wanted to show, that I'm also able to code these new-school stuff, because I think that most people want to see 3.1415927 (?) texture- mapped Vector-Objects in one frame... But atleast I have to tell you a weird story about the End-Part :) Originally I wanted to include a vertical Scroller which I wanted to code at the Party so that it looks like a real End-Part. But since I was a bit tired (im just a human being) I went under the table and slept a bit to avoid a brain-buffer overflow (hi Ramses :^P). Current time was 28/12/97, 3:50 a.m. Later I woke up and looked at my (analogue) watch and it showed 8:30. And I thought: "Shit, I overslept the Dead-Line" (28/12/97, 8.00 p.m.). So I quickly assembled the Source, packed the executable and brought it to the Party organizers. I was surprised that they accepted my Intro and didn't say anything about Dead-Line etc. Really happy I went back to my table and loaded DOpus and then I saw it... It was just 8:35 a.m. so I could have used more than 11 hours to complete the Intro. Yeah, thats the disadvantage of having an analogue watch %^). So the End-Part now looks like it looks :) Some technical Info: Source Length: 9666 lines (193.370 Bytes) without Includes Graphics Size: 19.168 Bytes Sound Size: 7.497 Bytes (P61, delta-packed Samples) The Pentagram used in the Endpart consists of 114 Points and 248 Surfaces. Personal Party Greetz from StingRay are rushing over to: Ramses/Remedy: You didn't win the Dynablaster Compo? Looser! :)) Thank you for testing the Intro on your 68060 (rulez!) Sniper/LSI^LFC: Lets make that Coop Demo for Symposium '98 R.A.Y/LSI: Precalculating Tunnel-Tables rules %^] Big-Rat/Nuance: Keep up your good work with X-Files Ramboy/Warp9: "I need new stuff..." :) Cosmo/???: Thanx for giving me your lighter all the time (only a smoking coder is a good coder) ;) and letting me test the Intro on your computer Luniz/LSD^SLT: OPEL-Ohne Power Ewig Letzter..
