A murder of scrolls Interphace - Hyde - Archmage Andromeda GERP 2024 This demo was built around Interphace's stellar module "Starfield Pheromone", which was composed on the piano in 2019 and arranged in protracker in 2021 shortly after the release of our demo "Rule 30". A makeover of the "infinite scroller"-theme was made in 2023. The module file is 32k on the byte. The true demoscene classic "X-Large" by Spreadpoint was an inspiration. It is all the things a demo should be: Impressive, beautiful, and fun. Also, it is one of the first demos to successfully implement suspense in the presentation of effects and timing and cohesion with the musical score. Side note: Already past deadline, we submitted an unpacked executable to the competition not knowing the actual file size. After running it through Cranker, it turned out that this demo is actually a 40k intro. So, what is it then? We leave it for those meticulous about categorization to decide.
