SPC are back with another Amiga OCS demo made
at the airport and at @party with some help
from RSI demo maker and the entire party ppl.
Included is the Party Font which most people
contributed to, and a lot of references to
random shit. I guess you had to be there!
THIS DEMO IS FUSSY. It runs on an A1000 with
512k or an un expanded Amiga 500. IF YOU RUN
it on an Amiga 1200 you need to degrade the
machine AND run an A1200 FIXED version. Inc
is a UAE version with instructions for my USA
buddies who may not have an Emulator set up.
Unfortunatly it will not run on NTSC machines
Amiga PAL 500 (real)
--------------------
- Put disk in a PAL A500 and power up
- Ensure filter is Off & audio is MONO
Amiga 1200 (real)
-----------------
- Image SPC-1200.ADF to a real floppy
- Use something like TUDE to degrade to A500
> Degrade / No Fast Mem / OSPatch Old
> Ensure you tick the force PAL option
> Ensure you are using Kickstart 1.3
ROM
(you'll need the kickstart ROM in devs)
Depending on your 1200, I guess this may not
be timed right. It worked for the party as
we did not have a real 500 to play it back on.
Amiga 500 (emulated)
--------------------
- You need a cycle exact emulator
- You need to ensure your audio is MONO
- I know that WinUAE or Linux equiv works
- You will need a Kickstart 1.3 ROM
(This doesn't come with the emulator)
- You should be able to use the UAE config
file included in this ZIP.
Creating an 880k Floppy from an ADF
-----------------------------------
Because people constantly ask me - NO you
can't simply put a PC 1.44MB formatted
disk in an Amiga 500! For starters it has
to have a strip of scotch tape over the
2nd hole and be formatted to 720k in DOS.
There are many ways to write an ADF to disk
Here are four you can look up:
- Null Modemcable and TwinExpress
- Catweasel PCI Card (easiest)
- Use an A1200 with "mount pc0:" command.
Use LHA either side to get ADF under 720k
- A Compact Flash adapter kit (cheap) for
Amiga 1200 and Diskman. This is what I use.
You can get the TUDE degrade tool from
AMINET. Kickstart ROM from Amiga Forever.
