Adam Seychell ■∙[ WHAT DOES THIS THING NEED ? ] ──────────────────────────────────────────■ This fx needs at least : ∙ a FPU ∙ 486dx, p166 or faster recommended ∙ 8mb of RAM ∙ a fast VESA 1.2 card (for fake-mode) ∙ a card supporting VESA 2.0 for 16,24,32 bits LFB modes ∙ GUS 512k for sound, nosound if no GUS detected Problems ? : ∙ some cards have LFB 320x200x16,24,32b available only when Univbe or Scitech Display Doctor are loaded (Matrox, S3...) check http://www.scitechsoft.com ∙ if the proggy crashes just after the samples precalculations, then reboot and launch with Univbe or SDD. If it still doesn't work, choose another mode. ∙ doesn't work with Windows NT ■∙[ WHAT'S BEHIND THIS FX ? ] ──────────────────────────────────────────────■ The FX features 4 metaballs (grid 32x32x32), a tunnel and some blurred text. All textures are generated, samples are also created using some weird algos (and it sounds like that :) The code is 100% ASM (DOS32). No time left to optimize metaballs. Don't blam me if it's slow on your PC, I didn't have time to implement recursive stuff in the marching cubes algo (hey Mrz !) No secret part.
