Highbit 666 by Lithium
really important text, yes emegas, it was important enough to mar the infofile with it :) ... you'll witness that some, infact quite a few of the tunes aren't that industrial or hardcore, i thought about this very carefully, took a leek, came back, and decided that in fact, variety never hurt... so we'll leave them in as long as they're very techno-ish. after all, the disk would get kinda boring fast if it was all the same style...anyways, so you get some bonus dance, rave, techo, hardcore, etc, tunes with your screaming death kill stab industrial noise force tunes. enjoy. or don't. fuck off. Ahwell, let the coder describe it his own way: ────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── I will use dword alignment I will use dword alignment I will use dword alignment I will use dword alignment EvilPlay is another stupid fucking player which is almost cool. It does nothing special. It looks kinda neat, it runs really slow, and you can pretend your computer is fast if it doesn't. It has a hacked-up version of MIKMOD where I broke everything up in such a way as to make it work properly for my purposes, and hopefully it won't crash because of this. :) If there was a god, I would have DSIK 2.0 registered version and I'd be using that-but I guess God has better things to do than worry about what sound system I'm using. Well, I can't really blame him, I would too. There are a few mods that tend to randomly crash the player - I'm not sure if this is due to MIKMOD or my own lame code. (Chromatiq managed to make a mod that will always kill MIKMOD. Good for him. :) ) Try to just avoid playing those - go get the new Starplay when it comes out and use that. :) This is really just for our musicdisk. (On the fire routines) It's not really fire. It's more like burning milk or something. I'm kinda limited by the fact that I wanted it to have some rough connection to the music. It's pretty burning milk though-and red at that. Way past the expiration date. SoUR MiLKK even...Laterz... Revisions in 2.0: Stupid SNES-like crap fade-out, Stupid 320x400x256 Xmode for fileselector with stupid information about stupid modules... Also, uh, put in the various patches released for MIKMOD, Note-bar things...I must have done something else...Stupid palette effect, uh... Changed the fire to be slightly less pointless, jizzed all over the keyboard and created large amounts of source while wiping it off. Uh... What else did I do? Damn, nothing, I guess. *** IF THIS PROGRAM CRASHES - IT'S ALL MIKMOD'S FAULT, OK? *** *** :) GREETZ to MIKMAK :) EMAIL ME IF YOU WANT A BUGLIST! :) *** 1.) Coded in 100% WATCOM C, no inline ASM, etc.. Since its functions are plenty fast, the only overhead is some descriptor checks and shit...So why bother? It's all 13h chained mode-Or it used to be, anyway. 2.) Runs in modeD, thanks to fYSx for the idea and the inital info. I had previously played with non-doubled 320x200 modes, but his code made it clear how to really use this... 3.) Uses MIKMOD 2.02. Mega-thanks to Mikmak for releasing this awesome player, otherwise I would have been stuck with Tinyplay since I can't afford the $20 for DSIK, much less the fucking $70 for DSMI. 4.) The big font is taken from TED that font util...I don't know where he got it, but I guess he probably ripped it from an intromaker. :) Oh well, at least _I_ admit to ripping it... :) 5.) The extender is PMode/W!! DOS4GW SUCKS MY ASS! Tran is K-Rad. (DOS4GW seems to allocate 1 meg of RAM for some mystical hidden purpose of its own just merely by running it-Until I understand this better, I will continue to say it sucks my ass.) 6.) No, I didn't code a timing routine for this( :) )...Since there are around 8 different FX in the playscreen that don't all draw to the same buffer or in any particular order... :) Oh well, that's what coding in a hurry results in...You'll just have to deal with it... Sorry. (NOTE: There IS timing in all the scrolling functions.) 7.)
