Platform thumb!
No 68k is left behind!
Nice invite for 68k inside on the Sinclair QL
Wanted to give a thumb for the effort on such a horrible platform, but on the other hand it's again such a horrible platform that I don't want to be seen as encouraging anyone to do more stuff for it...
Limited resources make for interesting productions
QL!
QL power! I think Philips CD-I also had a 68k-derived CPU.
The CD-i's CPU depends on the player, Green Book says programs have to be written for microprocessors with features common to all processors of the 68000 family, e.g. the 68000 itself, but programs wishing to take advantage of the extended features of the newer 68000 variants have to be seperate ones and ran by a program first that checks the D_MPUTyp variable in the OS-9 system variables.
There are CD-i players that have a 68000-based CPU (Philips' players), a 68020-based CPU (LG) and many other players with their own choice of a 68000-compatible CPU
