this was ok Optimus! The credits part was like an hour too long and that effect made the text almost unreadable. A little less of that fire effect and the plasma and instead make some other parts (other effects) and this could be really good!

Plasmas and Blurs... Quite ordinary, but it's always fun to see something nice on obscure hardware.
I haven't watch a lot of cpc demos, but this one rulez. I like the blur effects a lot, when i watch them i was thinking about water, fire, and i like that ! Nice job Optimus, take a rulez !

reminds me of my first 386dx40 turbopascal tests.. Yeah yeah I know that's a cpc.. So optimus good work.. even the graphics and the tune..

Ftp.lip6.fr which was the only source for all the CPC demos back then, doesn't seem to work now (or has changed?) and so everything doesn't work. That's bad for people interested on how the CPC demos look like ;P
Anyways,. also more demos can be found here, but a lot are missing. My collection is around 600 demos from 1986 till today. I guess I'll have to speak with the webmaster of the www.cpcscene.com and see how can upload the whole files or send him to do it himself, cause else I have to submit it one per one from his site..

Excellent (but then I would say that!!!!). Can we hope for an A Step Beyond 2? Judging by the comments here, it is already regarded as one of the best CPC demos! Not bad for a first try!!! Roll on Optimus' next demo

No. Neither that or that we are perverts or something. It has to do with the fact that we are not been under brainwash, we are the dirty minds. Original concept for the name by Antitec/Dirty Minds, years before I joined. He thinks of me as a dirty mind too :)

I don't know about Antitec (seeing him frequentlesy, but not motivated for CPC since ages) but I will. I am just in a transitory period (lol. metavatikh periodos) with my life, no job, no mood,. I am expecting it to change soon though. Time, time, will tell..

The demo supports 3 palletes (green, color, plus). Choose plus for the best colors. In plain color you might scream about the lousy palletes I choosed ;P
You can download Winape32 emulator which supports CPC+ and is the best (And then where I developed the demo btw with it's assembler) here:

For my friends who don't know that much about CPC but want to have a look at it:
Press F1 to go to basic at the beginning (1 at the nummerical keyboard for the emul users) and write RUN"ASTEP.BAS", choose 1 for plus pallete, wait for loading..
Also, with CAT you can see the catalogue of the disk. But write RUN"NOTES.BAS" to choose beetween 3 noters (C64 style). In the 3rd there are all my greetings, to non CPC sceners too. In the demo, the greets effect are only to the CPC groups and sceners, or else the demo would take that much ;)
