That moment when the realization kicked in what exactly it was that we were watching.
Love the soundtrack in all its Nils Frahm inspired (down to that analog noise floor) splendor and how it accompanies the story you're telling perfectly. And it's not easy to make abstract-ish visuals express such a deeply personal and intimate experience (or rather tragedy), but you absolutely nailed it.
The compo winner we deserve for sure. :)

One thing I forgot:
This demo was not originally the winning demo. It originally came in second place, but Gargaj offered me first place because he thought it was a better demo than his demo.

Mindblowing visual and ambiance, a great message conveyed with class.
"Anticlimactic" would be an euphemism. Are we already past it? Will anything ever happen at all? Watching a stroke from arteries clogging in slow motion? Soundtrack redeems it somewhat towards the end, and it's surprisingly fast on my computer.

I like it. But imho it should stop at 3:10.
Brilliant how you used mostly abstract scenes and give them a deeper meaning. But the kerning between the three chars is not so good, sadly.
Good message and concept but the execution didn't do it for me. Watched it again tonight without the livestream chat distraction but it still didn't convince me of being a demo i would want to rewatch, can't put the finger on what exactly is my problem with it, don't want to be rude about it since it obviously took great effort to make and it's an important subject matter to make a demo about, but changes in neural synapses and blood flow doesn't equal casualty of war in my brain.

More demoscenial in essence than the one from past year, but still with that deep metaphoric meaning and conclusions. I haven't watched other prods yet, but I'm glad to see this one winning, up-front.

I found this watchable. However, I dont think i can recommend. For me, the sound and visuals are great, but i find it difficult to explain how they are 'of the demo scene'. If it had a size coding propery, or other 'demo' property, that would change my opinion.
