Soft rendering on the canvas. More cool codewise than a lot of other PC demos.

Yes. Good stuff!

had a certain late 90s early 2000s vibe to it. great effects with good framerate which is impressive for 2d canvas. good music aswell, dissonant but relaxed. think i like this release better then the previous one, feels more memorable atleast. well done!

I really dig the soundtrack, my favorite so far by kaneel.

As for the visuals, the 90s references worked really well. I dug the colorful spike/viruses thinggies appearing after the greetings part, it felt fresh. I guess the overall feeling is a bit static and nostalgic, which may or may not work in its favor.

very nice demo! i love the rendering, the music and all the references to late nineties demos :)

Love it! Great music, especially the bass line is so bold. Congrats

Absolutely incredible! This is a masterpiece! I love everything about it, the general end of 90s futuristic aesthetic, the crazy cool and fresh colorschemes, the effects and rendering, and that delightful soundtrack.
Thank you evilpaul and kaneel for that tiny jewel !

This works so well!

The code, visuals, music 👌
It even worked like a charm on my phone when I first saw it last night.

I have to dig into the code: I assume multiple canvases, imageData for the lines + flat shading rendering (to avoid subpixel gaps along the edges of the polygons using native Canvas drawing functions), post process using drawImage, and a final layer for the dark scanlines.

Well done mikucom!

This was really nice. Except that long "empty" part in the midle

@legend: not sure if serious or… but evilpaul fixed the “empty part”
Kaneel: I've only seen this at the compo so thats why

loved this, my second favorite from the compo (shame that the one part in the middle didn't work in the compo). lovely to hear some cold, melancholic IDM tones again, and delighted by the subtle (or not so subtle?) te-2rb nods as well :)

great job, agree with alkama

Keneel: I'll be sure to watch it soon! Dont worry, be happy :)

Oh yes well executed! Remember watching this in the compo and suddenly remembering that oh, this was sw rendered. The seamless flow completely makes you to forget these technical details.

And oh boy, the part missing in the compo is cool diving into the shapes.. Happy to see how coherent it makes the whole demo. With that working the demo would have definitely placed higher where it deserves to be :). Music is also a perfect fit for the visuals.

Makes me wonder what kinds of devices this could run on. Sometimes the browser is the sole way to run external code on consoles and smartthings. Awesome work and stellar soundtrack!

Really well done. All the little references were super tacky and I love it

Best DEMO in the compo for me. Such a cool style and flow. Was very easy to watch and listen, like water purling in front of your eyes.

love it! kind of a modern take on the blasphemy / purple formula - it's still on my bucket list to make a similarly styled demo someday.

Stunning masterpiece! I love how it seamlessly blends lovely visuals with an immersive soundscape. Style is super sleek and sophisticated, yet subtlety comes together.

Runs super fine on Safari on my M1, Firefox seems less happy.
MOAR.
