on a sidenote: the freezes that occur every other second somehow looked like a bug or general problem so I was trying to fix it until the youtube cap showed me it that they are actually supposed to be there... I dont know exactly if this is due to aesthetical or technical reasons but imho its more confusing/broken looking than anything else...

This. Easily one of my favorite 4ks, and I'm more than sure it will age better than most of them owing to the strengths of its concept and a rendering choice that fits the task so well it defies technical obsolescence—by the virtue of not needing anything more. Unlike e.g. Sonnet (the venerable granddaddy of changing-seasons-themed intros like this or last year's Cycle of Nature), a fact I lamented back in 2011 in its comment thread.
