nGlide is the wrapper that works. And I discovered after making the youtube capture that you can set the resolution higher using nglide_config.exe, oh well.

interesting demo - very dark and unique athmosphere. a bit on the long side though, but still clearly a rulez, esp. considering it's from 1998.

Requires 3DFX, but surprisingly works very well on a Windows 10 machine with glide2x.dll/glide3x.dll in c:\windows\syswow64 (forgot where I got mine, but they're 1.2MB and dated 2010).
A long time back, we were going to include this on MindCandy as an easter egg (vol. 1, probably) but we couldn't get it to work at the time. Thanks to whoever uploaded it to scene.org so I didn't have to search frantically for it myself. :)
