I'm sure you could make something more awesome and realistic sounding with some physical modeling synthesis. These mp3s just sound... terrible :|
True, but this I made for my son's birthday card. They are actual recordings from him playing his piano. The actual beginning wav files (about 50MB) sounded much better, but after ripping them down to less than 1KB (heck, even software I have makes blank MP3 almost 2KB), they do not sound as good. Unfortunately there was no area to submit the 20MB full HD quality version, so you get stuck with the mangled version...
Plus, I wanted a script that uses real MP3, as I plan on making packs so you can load various organs, samples, sound effects (that can be easily downloaded in MP3 anywhere), instruments, etc. I want real, not synthetic, this makes demo scene sizing much more difficult as most people rely on 3D and other engines for scripting and doing the work which to me, sounds synthesized...
To me, these sound better than fake computer generated piano tones.

Ehmm what's so difficult about converting a bunch of samples to low grade mp3? This just looks and sounds terrible...
The Javascript packer was already somewhat borderline to add, but since Pouet's demotool category includes pretty much everything that can be used to make demos, that was ok. This thing, on the other hand, really doesn't belong here.
what havoc said.
This doesn't belong here. Converting a bunch of piano samples to low quality MP3 isn't a demo. General MIDI sounds better than this!
This prod feels like site promotion spam. That aside, what if you re-do this with four good samples (one for each octave) then change the playbackrate of each key like this I think this could be a good starting point to update sonant live so it can have a live working piano. thumb down to discourage posting non-polyphonic piano prods using a previously posted packers to pouet
