If this indeed is using the 128 bytes extra RAM of the F8SC cartridge, I can see that there might be some controversy. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but it seems to have been more or less an unwritten rule for VCS demos so far to only use the built-in 128 bytes RAM.
It will be interesting to see where the VCS can be taken if extra RAM usage is adopted.
With that out of the way, very nice demo, especially loved the "Coca cola"-bar, looked awesome.

The very first interlaced image of the face looks good in emu, but on my 2600jr it seems like the sprite positioning is off by a pixel.

Exactly what Kylearan said. Regarding extra RAM: This was designed to be released at Revision, where the rules allow every physical medium that fits for the maschine. So extra RAM is fair for me in this case, because typically even Amiga demos compete in the same compo here at Revision. So this is the "best VCS demo with extra RAM", a new VCS category "F8SC" and an outstanding one man dedication & effort for the machine.
For SillyVenture it's a different story and there extra RAM is explicitly not allowed since it's a VCS only compo. So see you there in the VCS Fight Club!

Awesome technical improvements of course. Get a better designer for the next one (and the music department could use some work). Had some impressive moments in any case, like the coke part.

So 128 bytes extra... Well if other demos didn't need it. I admit I compared this to other VCS demos I had seen, and learning afterwards that it needed extra RAM is kind of a disappointment.
Btw "extra RAM" reminds me of a certain Amiga demo that had been made with/for WinUAE and 1 gigabyte of RAM and, "surprisingly" wouldn't work very well on the compo machine that had an actually possible amount of RAM.

Sure, this demo runs on a beefier VCS setup than usual, but still it's very restrictive. But hey, those graphics are very high-res thanks to more memory and draws a lot of inspiration from C64 demos (obviously), but that's not a bad thing :)

Pretty ugly and little more than a miscellaneous collection of effects, but the sound is excellent, which warrants a thumb. Except I'll still retract it for that inane still pic toward the end.

Using the time given by the Corona pandemic, I finally built a cartridge using the original SARA RAM chip. And so it's finally verified that this demo could have been created using what was available in the mid 80s.
Well I gotta be honest, 7 years later I still keep watching this from time to time.
So... I think this might be one of my favourite demos of all time? And to my shock I never thumbed it either so.. Better late than never :D
