clearly for me the second best demo of the compo (after fairlight & cncd). It doesn't show much but what's there is of the highest quality.

A lot of influence from vimeo videos I imagine? not a bad thing though...

such a very cool and well performed piece, the well crafted minimalism in each scene is thought out well enough to provoke ones own thought and induces a real sense of being in a vast yet empty space, and the sound design is just excellent, instant favourite gonna watch it again now :)

I like the greeting from Jeckell to Hyde's mom.. it's so sweet! Thumb!

by the way:
I hope these effects are just leftovers.. excluded from the demo to end all demos by the mighty gods: Andromeda..

Ad Astra add infinitum! Looking forward to the new Andromeda demo someday.. Nexus 7 was just the beginning!

Oh and Lord Helmet approved it ofcourse raytraced scroller or not in the new demo :)

Next to this I second Navis and Wade's comments above..

if only the last 5 seconds of music was used for the rest of the demo :)

the "red sphere with mirrors"-scene was quite slow here.
thumb up for the concept and the work, but I'm not 100% convinced, because of the not-smooth-enough rendering and the not-that-great sync in some parts.

totally rocks! awesome audiovisual work.
but between some screens the music stops while screen is black (for example between all first screens without spheres). it literally halts - no reverb like in some other scenecuts. don't know whether it's a flaw or builtin - for me however it destroys the ambience in the beginning.

Wow! Never expected this!!
There was Nordic awesomeness braging and ranting all over revision for some hours after it was shown on the bigscreen.
But hey, being a Nordic Egomaniac ranting moron in the drunk is all I know how to do :D

AWESOME Guys, I expect a re-run of this on Solskogen (Played at Lug00ber Volume ;)
rulez added on the 2011-04-26 23:17:26 by tFt tFt
@bermudatatooine: Please compare http://vimeo.com/22878274 to what is shown on your screen when running the .exe. I suspect that what you are considering a fail/crash here is the fact that the first five scenes are empty (without moving objects in them). This is by design.

That's 100% intentional, and there _is_ reverb there - just very little. The point was indeed to have those hard breaks there between the opening parts, and have more flowing cuts later (driven by the sound). I'm sorry you feels that breaks the mood, but the fact it that it was meant to be that harsh exactly to _establish_ the mood.

I will put in a order for lug00ber to show this on bigscreen at Solskogen as well!!

(_only_ problem with this is that if I now use sound the same way I will be called a copycat. Even thought my plan was to hide bad effects instead of good effect :( )

iq: actually, I don't think I've ever seen that one before - it was awesome. :)

The inspiration for "Spheres on a plane" came from a lot of motion graphics pieces, but if I had to pick one single one (especially for the sound-design) it would have to be "No Keyframes" - http://www.vimeo.com/16658961
