tigerente! ;)
nice tribute!
well, someone had to do it, and you sure did it nicely!
nice but i've always found the teapot sexier.
looks great
Quack!
### Duck, lost in space ###
Cool!
whatever skrebbel said
Finally, the first official Wurst product after 11 years. I wasn't involved, so I can give you my thumb.
Don't let Duck.3ds die!
Don't let Duck.3ds die!
until which version was it part of max? my first version was 5 and i didn´t find any duck until now ( version 9 ) ...and the teapot is NOT sexy...as the top cover is not closed at the boundarys, so you can look into the pot ! ( i made a 1.2k - thousands-of-teapots-fly-over-the-screen - screensaver for my own use ! so i see it all the time ! )
the prod is sexy :)
duck must be one of my oldest friends by now, haha !

it runs very fast on my craptop so I guess a smooth shaded version is possible?
nice stuff!
let's start demoscene again, on canvas! ;)
smth'n about 5fps in hq version and 7-8fps in simple... opera 9.63 here, P4 3.2Ghz... but prod still cool (=
finally, pc's got faster for a reason and stuff.
Unique idea ;) Just what we needed.
What everybody already said.
Quak quak quak...
The HQ is super smooth on my 2Ghz notebook in Opera 9.63
Still haven't digged through the code. How big are the data ?
auld: I'm absolutely convinced it's possible.

:D
Cool, although not sure smooth shaded would be possible at decent framerate - I'm thinking you'd have to plot your own polygons instead of using paths for that.
Duck!

kwak kwak !
nice one!
not bad
Well done for Javascript. But: you are not being very ecologically friendly by burning CPU cycles on Javascript implementations of old effects. ;)
Therefore a piggy.
Therefore a piggy.
oink
awesome :)
ducks, you simply gotta love 'em.
the name
Top of the month!
the duck
Thanks for the thumbs. :) Regarding p01's question: the normal version has 259 triangles, which compress to 1885 (there's room for improvement)
As most of the time is spend rotating the triangles, gouraud shading might be possible. I will try to hack together an improved version this week.

Eh, one side has 259 triangles, so that's 518 triangles
fuck a duck.
i'll wait for the utah teapot...
1885 bytes for 259 triangles doesn't sound too bad with the encoding issues of HTML.
don't forget to use triangle strips, which takes less data.
Essential.
Classic!
I mean
Hell yeah!
essential is the keyword !

duck.3ds in javascript using lzw packer trick with eval (that gasman used 3 years ago) and canvas to draw polys. So what's new in here?

you?
From a purely technical point of view I agree with statikbuzz.
But technique ain't everything.
But technique ain't everything.
Too bad it uses Canvas....
nice!
nice
I was worried that this would be a BITS prod. But it's not, so it gets a thumb from me.
surprising and excellent!
nice work
nice work
Nah..
The most technical JS I saw.
nice!
Ipkes: ducks.3js is pretty neat ( for 4k ) but you must have overlooked Redbug & Neja to name a few.
wait, what just happened?!
not too bad and not too cool - piggy
duck..
yellow..

quak quak
Crap.
Neutralizing stardreamers retarded thumbdown.
Cute
yay js
Cool !
impressive 3djs-duck!
OMG it´s a DUCK!
again, why on the earth has something which was wasn't impressive 15 years ago has more hype and thumbs than your average _real_ demo? do you people think at all?
Probably because the duck model is a demoscene staple from the old days. "Pop culture" references in other forms of entertainment grow as the form ages, the demoscene is no different. The 3DS duck, raster bars, the Second Reality theme, these are our "Rosebud", our "Luke, I'm Your Father". Voting moves from your head to your heart. That yes you get the joke, the reference, and remember where you where when you first saw it with some nostalgia.
The duck!
duck!!1!
duck!
Exactly what 4mat said :)
Duck! :D
DUCK.3DS!
I would like a LOBSTER.3JS more, anyway, this badass duck rulez!
