nice seeing another production from you guys. rather steep requirements but i've been guilty of that as well. maybe you could have stuff compressed in memory when you don't need them?

Sorry, but that was disgusting! I don't understand why many Amiga demos display such ugly chunky plasma effects when the copper and blitter can do such lush, high resolution plasmas without breaking a sweat.

ehehe...welcome to the A3000 requirement club ;)
The demo is not exactly my taste but I like when folks get off their butts and release stuff.

Neat enough, but there's no way I'll thumb up one of these "A3000 prods"... :)

Wade: You are an absolute moron, but if you prefer colorcycling then we shall respect that choice.

Colour cycling plasmas are easier to achieve, look 1000 times better, run faster in higher resolution with thousands more colours on a basic A500.

Well, duh! Of course I prefer it!

I like the demo and second slummy on the wadestuff :)

plasmas? looked more like a ?movetable? btw the sound isn't very very leet here, me thought the name implied this.. anyway great prod..

nice

Cool.. the colours are somewhat incoherent and it's a bit short on effects, but cool nonetheless..

Wade: What plasma? =D We're not using the blitter for effects this time, it was causing issues - a lesson was learned, though ;)

The system requirements were the result of several naive decisions during development ... the memory requirements, well, by the time it was finished enough to know our usage, it was too late to implement a clever solution.

Like everyone else, we hope to improve things with each release ;)

Big ups for the homage to Melbourne. I enjoyed the overall "feel" of this one. True Amiga goodness.

we do. that's why it only needs 1Mb chip!

correct.
Ript: It's not a personal criticism, I just hate chunky Amiga effects and prefer to see oldskool ways of making demos, trickery, blitter effects and that kind of thing.

i like the design and the good graphics. and generally, it makes the viewer feel good.

but the code.. offset tables and some wireframe 3D + the system requirements.

Didnt do it for me, sorry. Music was especially disappointing. How much MB/processing does chip music take up these days?

If you really want to know...

AHX = 0.4Mb/1-12% 020
0.4Mb = 409Kb. Are you sure? ;-)

approximatley. check the size of the "ahx.waves" file, that is roughly how much memory it needs.

I liked it, it had nice design, but felt like an advert for something that's still not quite finished.

The visuals are cool, but I'm not a huge fan of the music.

Well, I agree with Wade that there's a bit much emphasis on c2p effects even in A500 demos these days. But I like the overall style of this production, especially the split-screen scrollers. It seems to run fullframe or close enough on my A1200 with just extra fastmem. Sadly the music is a tad too esoteric for me.

Not bad.

It's ok, flashes of nice design in there, strange music, not a patch on their more recent and excellent demo, but the team has talent.

As a demo, not bad. Hope still runs on A500 :)
