When using Vice, start xvic (not x64), switch off all memory expansion, turn on truedrive and autostart the d64.
Better Alternative: Get a Vic20+1541, c2n232 cable and watch it on the real thing
(My digital vcr is bricked, so dont hold your breath for a video)
