WRONG! As a musician i find it much harder to make a proper working remix, than continuing on my own path. As a designer/graphician i will claim that there are no such thing as a "original piece".
Melon design was the first to fall in love with the gameboy's naive display and design. and it became their trademark. Simplicity. So even though the concept itself was nintendo's. Melon made it their in their own way. Thats original for you right there.
