Bit too much after watching it a while... music started to be annoying in the end etc. I think this suffers more of a conceptual things than technical. Good try thou'

Some good elements, some bad, I will give it a pig. Very slow here, it tries to create some emotions but it made me laugh instead. Some lyrics are umm,.. a bit pathetic (sorry) "the grim reaper will kick your ass"??? Loading/Freeing with 3d text, good idea. Still, some ugly stuff on the 3d scenes (billboard trees, drawing near distance) and still slow. Nevertheless, it's good to see a new KStorm demo, a bit diferrent than the previous ones.

Optimus : "the grim reaper will kick your ass" was a little joke (for us), like "a world with a blue blue sky", yes it wasn't the place to put jokes... Where have you seen billboarded trees ? There are no sprites in it, just a shitty distance (same for objects and landscape), but I don't remember to watch lot of outside demo as beautiful as this one, do you ? It's strange it's slow on your computer, maybe this is the music playback... Thanks for your comment, but please watch it another time when deprimed ;)

This demo rocks and I mean that! More demos should tell stories and have direction like this in my opinion.
But just two questions - how did the man's body end up in the forest after he fell down the stairs? And who (if anybody) was in the grave his widow was mourning over?

Although the music could benefit by a tad more careful production, some melodies and progressions during the guitar/organ part are quite unexpected and very pleasant... well done.
As for the demo.. well the guy reminds me of Hitman a tad.. and the words of the story lack consistency (i.e. attempt at humor while the demo is being dramatic)..
Loved the scene with the sun and the handdrawn like rays..
Also, I really liked how the demo starts with music that accompanies both the launch window and the loading part.. nice touch there..

such a tight prod ...couldn't really carry the feeling of lovesickness across to me (being the insensitive bastard that I am), but had some great elements ....I loved the part where the guy is lost from his lover's arms. This demo willl not be remembered for its use of english, but that's not where its strong point are meant to be anyway.
All in all, a demo one can keep coming back to. Thumbs up!

Some explanations : The guy fell in the stairs and die, after he speaks to god (the strange orange thing:), god brings him back to life cause he had real true love-feelings and... we see the tunnel (classic for a dead-story...) and he comes back in the forest and they are happy ! Shane I haven't understand your last question, I surely should begin to learn english ;)

Nice concept =) Of course, there is much to be improved (like the textures...), but for a small party it is a great prod.
Now I see it on my home PC, I like it better. Doesn't get that slow here, perhaps something was wrong with the other PC. And for some reasons, I get a better feeling out from it and the bad poetry doesn't annoy me today. Strange..
the loader takes 5 real minutes and then... "blam" :-(
what about adding a gamma control option? a few scenes are too dark

It seems anybody worked on the stuff a while. I respect the energy puted into the demo. Other way, it's boring a lot and the music hurts me (not my taste). Good to se a story demo what looks well. So, it's not rules but better than i vote a piggie now...

Yep, it shouldn't work with 3d cards for which opengl base lib are uncompatible (3dfx 1&2 cards and some others), for these glsetup should be used, I learn that yesterday. Few scenes are dark because we wanted to, but a gamma control should be useful... About "naive", we wanted to create something like a movy-fairytail, so it had to be naive... and this is surely fresh compared to the most red-futuristic-violent-fast-and-sex-demo-themes...

Seriously though, it's nice to see Skarab and Co. continually improving. The coder colours have disappeared, although I think textures are a bit washed-out this time around. In addition, the pop up and some other engine issues were really distracting.
