Google tells me that the production of this "Fernschreiber" started as early as 1958 and lasted until the 1980's. 5-bit Baudot code, uppercase only, 50..100 bits per second. Perhaps the oldest piece of computing equipment I've ever seen in a demoscene production - therefore, thumbs up :)

Would it have been so hard to give a quick credit at the beginning of the video of the source materials? Specifically, the background song "Stupid Cupid" is written by Neal Sedaka and Howard Greenfield and performed by Connie Francis, while the ASCII art nude printed was created by Mike Jittlov, director of the movie "The Wizard of Speed and Time", and posted to alt.fan.mike-jittlov in 1995.
jscott: We didn't know about the origin of the ascii beforehand, otherwise we would have credited it. Actually this ascii came in one night on a german military mine destroyer boat, so we didn't know about its original origin.
