Perhaps this is a new demogroup? This looks like a beginning effort, so I'll assume it's just that. Not much too look at, the code isn't too speedy, and music is uninspired and very similar to a million other tunes. But at least there was some attempt at design!

I may not have liked this demo, but who knows what the future might bring...

I think it's ok, especially the mixed chiptune music in the beginning... =)

we'll...I have a moral complaint:
Lots of effects taken from NeHe, Nate, ....and a huge list of sites, plasted 'as is'
I'm unable to found ,any coherence, design, idea, plot, or anything, simply a compedium of tutorials.
Try to be some more imaginative next time.

Another complaint, about previous WiPeOuT comment, NO! the chiptune of the beginning, is ...*guess* NOT from the authors of this demo, they also killed the original SampleTexts of the mod and simply does contact to the real author JosSs

I just have to make a statement here.
Yes, the demo wouldn't be made if it wasn't for NeHe and some other tutorials, but i _never_ used any effects as copy/paste. I've learned the basics by reading tuts, and used the basics to code my own stuff. No effects in the demo is copy/paste.

Sorry, too much "influenced" by NeHe tutorials. (The Message Box in the beggining with the fullscreen option it's a clear mark, and other things not worth saying here).

Too slow on my machine for such a low-poly count, and such a low quality textures.

But as I thing that this is a begginer's production, I don't mind too much about the technical part. What I really mind about is that the chiptune should be credited to it's original author, JosSs, and not to Abnorm. If at least the SampleTexts hadn't been changed, we could thing it was just a pre-deadline error, and that they forgot to credit JosSs. And as ripping sucks, this is, without no doubt, a thumbs down.

the demo wasnt that bad, but it deserves a thumb down cuz ripping SUX, it is bad that what abnorm did will punish the whole group.. but i think anal punishment is not the right type of punishment..

Regarding the code.. There is no cut 'n' paste, as far as I know of! But tutorials has been used for the development for learning purposes!

I'm sikkert, and I'm one of the veterans in digitalangels.

Just like castor, I'm taking this complaints without question. If we had known about this ripping, we would never have allowed this demo to be released!!!
I can also asure you all that in the future, such things will be checked better before a release!

As for the code, I have full confidense in knus when he says that tutorials have been used as a referense, nothing more. Since this is his first demo, the quality may not be the best, but at least the code is 100% his.

Finally, to JosSs: I hope you will acept our deepest apologies, and the assurance from us veterans of the group that this will not happen again. If you have anything else to say to us, both me and castor are ready to listen! As for abnorm, he will be dealt with!

Anyways, for a first demo, code-wise, it isn't that terribly bad, although the fullscreen prompt makes me rather suspicious as to the origin of certain blocks of code. But still, it's decent for a first prod.

HOWEVER, ripping a tune VERBATIM and not giving due credits to the original scener, is really lame.

there's nothing more annoying when a groups reputation gets ruined by one of the members ripping stuff (melon - i feel like a computer comes to mind)

the demo was somewhat ok for a firstie.

My thumb was directed to Abnorm of course.

If I could, I'd give a seperate thumbs up for Castor and Sikkert, for their great response, responsibility, and attitude in the face of this rather unfortunate event.
