I love it!
Whoa.
Fantastic music and I like the plain style very much. A very "clean" production which flows nicely from one scene to another. Great graphics as well.
I'll be there!

Great invi! and beautiful music (i especially liked the creditpart). Looking foward to the party!
Nice compositions and transitions, helped by a kicking tune by Chromag. Not awesome, but I like it nonetheless.
video plz!
Brilliant!
Kicks alot of ASS!!!!
beautiful color scheme, neat transition.
The tune sounds good :)

Niceish & okish.

Hot candidate for best invitation and demo soundtrack of the year :-) Love at first sight! Great flow and design + typical beautiful h20 color sheme.
stylish gfx and design from h2o & a sublime tune from chromag. fx wise was ok, as an invite its great, see you at BP guys :)
very nice, and runs smoothly :)
created with the straight influence of ghettosceners

sweet
lovely
Great demo
Fantastic invitation, especially the greetings part rocks.
Awesome quality job by Chromag and H2o, coupled with boring screen effects which make my videocard yawn and beg for some action.
Party information is quite poor, being relegated to one fullscreen pic, and all in all the invitation lacks the "makes me want to be there" feeling.
Piggy.

linux port?
Nice old school feeling, I can see some inspiration from more or less known prods like this for the very first scene or some cracktro with cube travelling which name I can't recall right now :) Including the winners in the part before the credits is a great and well executed idea. Overall, a very enjoyable prod that may not introduce some new or impressive effects, but it can be nice for an ocassional watch.
Thumb up it is.
Thumb up it is.
Nice little diddy. Music was good, graphics and design all round good. Especially liked the way greetings were done, cool idea :)
exactly what dixan said
stage7: i can certainly recall the cracktro you mention :]
Your friendly ghetto scener.
Your friendly ghetto scener.
Wow! Beautiful music and transitions!!! I really like the simplicity, elegance and ideas in new Rebels demos.
I even loved the youtube vid so i guess it's awesome. Nice job guys
Bugs like no tomorrow on my computer (forgetting to clear some buffers, eyh?), but from the video this looked and sounded quite nice. Still, a piggy for the same reasons as dixan pointed out.
Congratulations for managing to crash my OS X. I havn't seen that happen since the 10.1 days.
Or at least the GUI stopped responding, the doc icon jumped, an empty small window opened and then no more.. I had to switch off the machine, I didn't try to ssh into it and kill off the demo process, maybe that would have worked?
Machine: Macbook Pro, C2D 2.2, 2GB, Nvidia 8600 128MB
OS: 10.5.2 with all patches

Great invitation with awesome music.
It crashes my Windows XP PC at the beginning of part three (after the scene with the demo screenshots).
very very nice!
nice ghettoscener production! :p i especially enjoyed chromags music.. <3 !
RBS quality!
For the record, I'm running the demo on an (seemingly) identical system to evil and it runs fine on my MacBook Pro.
nice and clean demo which runs very smooth on very different configs (imo a thing that is extremly important for invitations) with kick-ass music.
i'm looking really forward to the party! :-)

Sweet.
nice and cozy
Stylish
Totally nice! Cool transitions and great music by Chromag!
Nice
At first, I found 17 mbyte a bit too much, but you obviously aren't sizecoding, so who gives a fuck.
Very nice scene transitions, decent music, and very sweet design. I loved the greet parts where you could see the lines, and there were many nice details here and there. I'll watch it again :)

graphics easily come across as the best part, i wasnt really floored by the music but it served the purpose (the piano part was nice), and the effects were fitting, but i felt the problem was that they kindof separated the parts with a really visible *clunk*, everything was too linear and it just made me actually realize that a next effect is coming... not that it ruined the experience, but it didn't really feel the experience was 100% because of that... more like 90% (which IS good, but still, why not greedy if possible? :)
Quite large, but very polished. Nice music.
Very stylish, the best parts were Dicabs models and Pasy's code, it's a shame h2o uses the same colour palette for nearly everything he does, thouse the graphics are stylish anyway.
Great !
Little hefty on size comparing to the content, but it was okayish anyway. Music saved a lot for me.
Quite nice, but to be honest I don't really think it works well as an invitation. I miss a bit more energy, especially during the ending where you're supposed to leave everybody with the "hey, I want to go there!" feeling. It actually feels a bit depressing instead :)
Great! Music rulez!!!
That really is very very nice, very enjoyable.
Overall nice. I like especially the credits and the music. But why does the demo change the size of all my open desktop-windows on osx?
yay! osx!

ithaqua: i think they should get kudos for making an invitation zen, original and outstanding.
another hint: "digital garden" ;p
another hint: "digital garden" ;p
Haha! Ithaqua makes THE observation here. If you asked me what it said in the last screen, my immediate emotions would say :"Those were the days, but sometimes we must accept the inevitable and get on with our lives. Breakpoint will never happen again!"
Still, this is very nice and polished all the way. A common thing to say about just about all demos is "it looks unfinished", but this strikes me as quite finished with all the slick graphics and the fancy transitions which noone really gets to do because deadline is coming. Not many sharp edges left here.
Brain food part : Greetings with spline makes brain hungry for more mildly interesting stuff.
Demo Social Skills part : Nostalgia sequence with screen shots of former glory and music to match.
If you want to live up to the ghettosceners label, you might want to have more riots, harassment and offending content next time :)

Great soundtrack and some cool transitions.
pretty nice!
Neat!
somehow nice
hm, depressing.
(and i dont like stuff intersecting with the camera, allthough the youtube watch admittedly didnt give me a 100% look)
but sure, nice effort.

will it be the titan who create next year invitation! :DDDDDD
it's still quite cool. i like your gfx h2o :D
Wow, pretty cool: some nice & original fxs and it even runs smoothly on my old but still faithful r9700m :))
Nice soundtrack too (I guess how the overall feeling would have been if it was in major tonality...)
Nice soundtrack too (I guess how the overall feeling would have been if it was in major tonality...)
Good one. What're the chances of getting hold of the source for a linux port?
Of course nice gfx, I was forgetting. Everything is so smooth.
Excellent invtro!
Beautiful music and the transitions were superb! The filled cube routines felt a bit empty and clumsy to me, but a thumb up overall.
nice work pasy&co :)
should I fire moslo up?
Nice production dudes, especially the tune was lovely, great work Chromag!
Love it <3
Flower power!
Amazing! This one is a great invtro!
Btw... I've liked more the 64k invtro of the previous Breakpoint.
Btw... I've liked more the 64k invtro of the previous Breakpoint.
cool invitro
can't wait for results :p
Nice invtro. Cool tune from Chromag!
very cool and a consistent look
very great intro!! nice dezign, muzax , graphix and code..
It has that nice nostalgic sentimental feeling I like in demos. Something you will watch with a great pleasure in the future. The beautiful mixture between the visuals and the music is just great.
Thumbs up for the quality of the soundtrack both composition and sound.
Thumbs up for the quality of the soundtrack both composition and sound.
Really nice prod... but the size is far too big, sorry!
It is very nice to not have to watch the BP invite from a movie clip - a million thumbs up for the osX port.
Somehow, it seems to me the BP screen will be very light blue this year (:

(why didn't you donated this piece to hugi#34 uh? :) (cit. magic)
thumb up for making such a stupid comment possible.

rox guys... good work in all ways!
where are the greetings to trbs ?
where are the greetings to trbs ?
and thumb down for an extremely boring "hey, look at how many cubes we can move around, just like debris revealed us the magic of mesh instancing!"
great design..
Very nice! Chromag: I love the soundtrack! Brilliant!
Oldschool themes + newschool polish = rulez. A good invite, makes me wish i could be there.
A piggy.
no bp for me this year either. the invitation demo was actually kinda crappy compared to former ones. ill give it a piggy although.
-alt. wtf is wrong with my typos today. :P
It's all about the Rebels. Fucking ace, and as ever Chromag continues to release quality fitting music.
Thumb up, but it's cold for an invitro : the color scheme is too serious, and the music lacks a bit pace.
It's an attempt to do things differently, though, so big respect for that. :)
It's an attempt to do things differently, though, so big respect for that. :)
really nice on the big screen, chromags tune kicks ass ;)
Good stuff. Very smooth. Nice touch with the tower of video screens. Loved the credits scroll. Very elegant. Only problem: on Mac, the music cuts out right after the 3D trophy part... what gives?
d-.-b
expected a bit more, but its not bad - nothing much seemed to happen in the demo, the beginning wasn't synchronized, the cube fx's could have looked bid better.. but there were some nice moments too:)
Same error as friol...
nice atmosphere.
nice! great artwork!
very nice invite.. loved the cube part and all the arrangement and music in general :)
Very well done! Great soundtrack!
some ugly effects, some good effects. All in all i think the design and the flow raised it up to a thumb, i hope to see more demos like this from you, you'll just have to get rid of the ugly effects :)
dixan summed up pretty well.
nice, but not <3.
nice, but not <3.
mehhh
Cool graphics by H2O and a really, really good tune by Chromag - shocked me quite a bit there ;)
Nice one, even if it doesn't put me exactly in the usual Breakpoint Party mood. Nevertheless a nice one! :)
the only thing that feels out of place is that face pic. the rest is ace though. consistent style, nice effects, great transitions and a good soundtrack.
so now we will have to listen to chromag the entire party? the i'll really need to get drunk... ;)
so now we will have to listen to chromag the entire party? the i'll really need to get drunk... ;)
hahaha :)
kitsch
Ok same as niels (for once). I feel it a bit depressing. For some reasons Flat shaded 3d based on primitives depress me. On the other hands some really cool and the well polished overall thing save the demo. Thumb up
Thumb for Chromag's great music. H2O's logos are starting to look way too generic though.
Very enjoyable production, especially the music.
Nice one!
what sound engine is used? the demo flows perfectly in wine on Linux, but sound is jumpy, like buffer underruns...
Not bad, nice to see some re-cycled effects from different platforms. Like Amiga, C-64 and PC. :) Also nice to listen to Chromag's great music and to watch H2O's gfx!
Nice invite, very smooth design + gfx. Plus osx port \o/
Very nice
niente di speciale...
Major amiga-style influences here. Cubes rock. Now make them glenz ;)
so-so
very well designed + nice music
Great music. But cubes are overused and a bit boring in todays productions.
i like it - especially the soundtrack!
nice effects, cool demo!
Hazy flowers... let's smoke em!
See you there!
Quite possibility the most polished and sophisticated production by Rebels to date. H2O, I salute you and take my hat off to you for the graphics/design on this production. It's spot-on, elegant, smooth and beautiful. Pasy, I loved the cube-effects and the nice little nuances in the greetings part, such as the thin white lines the names are leaving. The flower made of cubes was absolutely beautiful, particularly when it started pulsating with light.
As for the music, a truly welll-polished track, Chromag. I only have one little thing i'd like to criticize/ask: Is it just me or were your melodies in some recent Rebels demo similar to this one? It's just that the melody sounds so familiar. I think you did exceptionally well with both the opening (guitar) and the end of the track in the credits part. The little orchestral touches fitted really well and gave the demo special attention in those two parts. For my personal taste, the track could have been a tiny bit more aggressive in the main part, since the visuals are very dynamic, IMO too dynamic for the flow of the song. But don't get me wrong, this is nitpicking. It's just that I have to find better comments than the previous "you rule" all the time, despite the fact that you do. :) Btw, did you play that guitar? (*applauds*)
And just for the record: This track has been on my headphone since I arrived at work this morning, and it's 1730h now. :)
Thanks for this, Rebels. It's been a pleasure to watch! Oh and I think it's great that you revisited the idea from your Assembly invitation, with the screenshots from earlier BP productions. It worked well in the Assembly invitation, and it works well again here. Well done!

oh and fuckings to you of course for pushing the Headlines off the top of the month chart. ;)
Nice feel overall and the greets and endparts were very nice
Teljesen szar, hagyjatok abba ezt az egesz demozas dolgot. Foleg pascalban, milyen lame. Bleh.
I guess the colors are the best in this prod.
VERY nice'n'shiny invtro indeed, and it even runs on my 1900+ without pixel shader 2.0 :)
but nothing can beat the BP07 invtro! :D
but nothing can beat the BP07 invtro! :D
smooth and nice but old fashion style, little bit boring, look like deja vu
Great! Smooth plain vectors in pouet-colors... what do we need more? And it's even runable on decent hardware...
I like it.
possibly the best PC demo I have ever seen.
Very nice gfx and coding. The music I prefer oldschool Amiga tunes but oh well, this is nice also :)
Nice music, some nice effects, some ugly, alright graphics.....enough for a thumb up.
What Dixan said.
what Zplex said.
Not much a fan of this, this is rather blueblueblue and I think i've seen sexier cubes.
no linux port - no cookie!
i realy liked the tune. also, works perfect on "macosx leopard on PC"... kool!
works on gma950, yay!
Works perfect on my Macbook only one problem its to long to bp for me :(
very nice invitation !!! for me the best ever !!!
boring + crap
so that's how a ghetto demo is supposed to look like ;)
srsly, it ran reasonably fine on my crappy nvidia 6200 card but the demo was not exactly stunning design-wise.
Thumb goes for the sound!
Chromag: I heard (another version of) that track the other day on BitJam , I assume you did a "re-worked" version for this invitation.
Could you please (please) post a download link for the real thang ? thx in advance ;)

nice invtro
Looked about 5 or 6 years behind its time, but I liked how you really incorporated the party's theme into the demo and overall it did a nice job of sharing the info.
So, it did what needed to be done and wasn't ugly. Enough for a thumb, no?

lol
Nice music and graphics. Thumb up!
nice.
nice invitation
thumb up for "Boobies for everyone"
Pretty slick. And totally great track by Chromag. The effects are nothing really special but they look nice anyway. Nice job! :)
lol Chromag :)
great work by all who were involved.
Runs fine on my mbp (sorry Evil, I guess it's you) but somehow the 16:10 aspect ratio fixing seems to break more than it ought to fix. The glossy marble in the second frame of the screenshots is an ellipsoid :|
very good looking invitation!
Excellent music and nice artwork.
The logo transformation reminds me of something but it's probably just me :)
The logo transformation reminds me of something but it's probably just me :)
Good transitions and seemed nice overall but some technical trouble hindered the experience. If I select 4:3, the screen jumps up and down like crazy. No problem with 5:4 other than the aspect ratio is wrong.
rulez
Thx for da Mac Port.
awsome music and overall really nice prod..
trax, artwork design are great.
i like middle scene.
i like middle scene.
Great art, keep it up. Maybe a little too monochromatic theme going on there, and the music rules.
Nice, but aspect ratio didn't work on my MB.
keops: it would rather remind me of a hitch's hoodlum cracktro :P
perfect.
mac.
Well done but doesn't get me into party mood. I would have liked a happier mood.
Mood mood.
great music, very clean
take drugs. get some imagination. whatever.. this is just the same shit as usual on repeat.
Yeah, cubes! And a lot of them... and only blue ones... even better because it is my favorite color... and on top of all a good glowing filter and some transparency... not to mention the pixel morphing pictures! I think 1999 called and asked to get their effects back ;-)
Seriously, it was really good. I liked it a lot.
Seriously, it was really good. I liked it a lot.
didn't "click" for me
Cool demo, good music. Runs very smooth. I like it.
Fucking nice invitro.
Excellent stuff. The music is really great Chromag!
h2o,chromag,pasy
nice n clean ... just the gfx of the face with the logo looks like a photo which is a little bit to much smudged :/. Whose face is it ? Scamp ?
Nice. :)
Yeah, this is good stuff. A good mix of demoscene clichés and some new cool ideas as well -- just how it should be. :) I didn't like that it was all blue ALL the way through, but that's just a minor gripe. The music and graphics are really nice as well... and OSX executable! :)
Good job!
Good job!
I like it the gfx is gorgeous
too bad some parts are in slideshow speed :)
too bad some parts are in slideshow speed :)
Beautiful visuals, beautiful music.
Awesome!
Great !
I am having the same problem as Kus Ma. NV7900GTX.
(Heck, looks like some oldschool shadebob effects. I would have thought it was sort of on purpose had it not been for the screen shots).
Waiting with my thumb until I have seen the intro :+)

Nice
I was unable to kkapture, so I made a video with my cellphone:
http://www.daimi.au.dk/~rz/digitalgarden_bp08_nvbug.3gp
NV7900GTX, Forceware 93.71
I think you can see what is going on even though the picture quality is lame.

(Btw, you got the thumb because it runs fine under wine :-) )
Unfortunately the newer NV drivers are very buggy. I am unable to make custom resolutions in the latest 169.21. Therefore I have to stick with 93.71.
I do not see this problem in any other demos.
I do not see this problem in any other demos.
what was the pic with the face about? anyway, good inv, great track.
Don't bother.
I just installed 169.21 to test. The driver is severely broken - all textures are replaced with garbage - but it is still possible to see what should be going on. And the bug is still there. So no need to install old drivers to test this.
Anybody running 7900 who can / cannot reproduce the problem?

7900 and 169.21 drivers (xp32) here, and it works flawlessly.
Oh, and before I forget:
Oh, and before I forget:
It is a bit rough around the edges, other than that I suppose it carries the message quite ok.
That is weird.
At my end, the 169.21 driver produces garbage instead of textues. I have reinstalled it twice - same result.

SMOOTH!
nice ending scroll o/
WTF: Running the demo on my Macbook Pro while on an external display will happily freeze the program and the system along with it.
That's pretty special.
That's pretty special.
big blue cubes on fractal-trees or whatever makes it look like crap. to be honest i think you are making the effects look so ugly. color-scheme sucks. you should have used more orange warm colors. music is not suitable for this kind of demo.
cubes = 3d pixels?
we are always blue+gray(tm).
thumb down for dead flowers in "so called garden" (ask moppi for some sources).

good.
it could be a little more polished, and i also don't understand why the end-scroller is jerking on my rather average system, the "to mess with the best" slogan reminded me too much of a certain b-movie and i can't hardly take anything serious that makes use of those quotes. but thats just details - music and h2o's graphics are total ownage and i actually like the prod ;)
this is the worst pile of shit i've ever seen... no orginality what so ever... you ripped some of the good demos and made a fucking ugly, boring and... did i mention ugly? you ripped keops... a friend of mine since the oldskool days... you fucking fruits.... fuckings to rebels pc forever..... you are even worse then titan!
I LIKET TEH COLORZ AND THE STUFF YOU CANZ EXPERIENCES IN THIS DEMOSECENEZ !!
yup i also like this prod. 'specially the blue colortheme.
just, whats the fuzz with these damn cubes and flowers, man? xDD ..
hassu gut gemacht, den tune. chromag.. sehr schoen!

Really nice invitation. Greetings-Part was awesome... well done!
upgrading to ati drivers 8.3 solved my problem.
comin'
how many kilobytes was that again?
for colortheme
great soundtrack, nice and clean design.
pure ghettoscener rulung.
pure ghettoscener rulung.
I liked the soundtrack and the blue color.. But some of the scenes were just plain ugly, and as an invitation this is about as uninspiring as that one Conspiracy did for Assembly a while ago. Hence a piggy.
perfect! (for just an invitation)
nice
quite boring color scheme.
very nice.
Me likey.
I ran Driver Sweeper and reinstalled the newest NV driver. That solved everything.
Sorry for the noise.
Sorry for the noise.
Nice - nice ref to "fuel - untamed" btw :)
Very cool!
love
Wow! Beautiful! Greetings part is best.
great flow and wonderful tune
stylish demo, nice music
The final accoustic bit of the music gives me goose bumps! Great job!
Love the music
what they said
.
Almost flawless - the texture appeal of the flowers in the end scroller ruined the last 1%.
Anyway, an almost flawless invitation for an almost flawless party - rocks!
Anyway, an almost flawless invitation for an almost flawless party - rocks!
Nice invitation and the soundtrack is ace! Congrats, Chromag!
better late commented then never :D Great track from Chromag and nice Effects.. liked this one :)
My friend Alexey loves this music.
Nice. :)
nicely done :)
Very nice!
Love this Music!
Love this Music!
This demo makes me feel good. :<
very well executed and ace soundtrack by chromag.
what about soundtrack in tracker format?
Flawless, very good music.
Made me visit Breakpoint 2008.
love it.
So nice.
The whole's big, and the tune!
very stylish! Nice color-sceme!
Awesome, just like a garden filled with flowers!
Flawless. Music rules!
This is for Chromag. Respect to the rest, but this music is amazing.
I feel very relaxed after watching this. A nice break from the frantic pace of a lot of modern productions. Music is divine too.
Nice production! :)
god dammit. this music will chase me forever because it was the first demoparty i've visited. the invitro itself is quite meh because of the cold colors. piggie.
Making me looking forward to the next party I'm going to visit
.
Hah, funny that I had heard this track a lot of times but didn't remember where it was from. Now I do!
still loving it after all this years!
Excellent on my Mac. Only wish it wouldn't screw with the resolution and ran at natively... otherwise an incredible intro. Loved the fx.
I never liked this invitation at all tbh. It serves its purpose in the minimal sense but I think it's aesthetically quite poor. The music in this context can only be as good as the visuals allow it to be. Possibly the most bland and unappealing invitation to an easterparty.

I really liked the Assembly invitation done by Rebels,
but this ons is even better! The graphics by h20 rule
aswell! Thumb for this production for sure!
