I simply love it! ;)
w0p! :) - I live in the SAME planet that the guys who coded that bump-mapping!
One of the last intros which run at a decent speed on my old p133 :) Simply kick ass.
great music and effects, check it out! :)
Cool fx. That bump water ownz me still today!
Looks good, really.

yes yes yes! this intro really kicks ass. the music fits very well to the astonishing effects!
A must see! :)
A must see! :)
great, great, great.
the water and the alien are simply superb and together with the hammering music and the rest it makes one of the best intros I know.

Man, this is SO loud!

now, can someone please do a win32 version?
this one is very cool, i remember it from back then...
'mother, mother, my ears bleed' kind of music and pretty advanced visuals. Still works without any problems on my Win98se box.
Oh, and a correct AND working link:
Download!
Download!
one of my all time favourite intros
For the music!
win32 port at www.friol.tk
thanks for the win32 ver mate (and i would thumb it up again if i could :)
well done.
still nice!
I don't think I've seen this for 4 years or so. Looks still good in 2003, damn nice effects and distorted intro soundtrack.
and let's make that 3½ years...
very nice indeed. effects and music just match!
and thanks for the port, friol. i would have missed this intro otherwise.

Effects are really nice, although I didn't like the music very much. But it still rules.
friol: You rule!

The source is somewhere in this link too..

why the fuck do you people add win32 ports as new productions?
friol, we do love you... but why don't you do real demos anymore?
was nice
Thumb up for the prod.
Virtual thumb down for glöp-hungry Optimus :)

Yeah, this was quite decent. Loved the bump-mapped water.
Runs imo a bit to long, but very nice.
Loved the bump effect too :)
alright!
yep...a bit superautodronish ;)
i never thought that viagra will make me happy... now happened... :)
goooood
I had to compile the sources to get it to run, since I couldn't download the exe file?
nice nice, water effects are always nice =)
one of my favourite prods now even works again :D
damn! this is a dream come true!
it was very fast and sweet on p266mhz too... nice to see windows port
Awesome music and effects.
Even better than I remembered.
erection guaranteed!
ORGASM GUARANTEED! (though the music isn't that good..)
nycie
is that a raytracer or a supersmooth triangle renderer? anyway, looks great. and sounds good too.
I hadn't seen the original version, nice that someone ported it to Win32.
And the bumpmapping routines rules btw.
And the bumpmapping routines rules btw.
strange, i like it
the finger had an erection! :o
i find it very boring... not-so-good music... pigface for the code and the year.
Damn.. I love this intro :) Lots of cool stuff. Incredible looking bumpmapping.
Entertaining stuff, although the music is a bit annoying.
wicked style, fx looked good. even some stuff where the rays hit the side of the cylinder. which i find somewhat puzzling =)
i think it could have been a smaller exec, but that's my only complaint!
the music is cool, at least quite near to my taste ;)

win32 port now also available at www.themfx.org
Incredible. The water effect isn't as good as what I'd been led to believe it would be, but still, this is incredible stuff. (I'm talking about the original, the win32 just allowed me to see it without downgrading)
pill for the mind
Nice stuff. And win32 ports are always good to see, especially if it was hplus (hinthinthint) ;)
remember this. link, please!
dammit, there's no friggin' way i can get more memory available in dos on my p120 laptop :) (won't run, in other words)
still, a really really nice intro! (and i for one really like the music :)

kickass!
for some reason it only works in windowed mode on my machine, but I suck so that makes sense...

The intro is great, but the source is severely unreadable. Hurts my brain :/
yes
This is sooo cool!
great great intro (and thanks for the port)
Damn excellent intro.
Doesn't really kick me. I think this could be very cool at a party running somewhere in the background or at a chilling-corner.
Yes!
Excellent visuals. Little Bitchard's zic here :)
Most beautifull lighting and bump (is it true sw bump ???) effect i ever seen :) My cdcs are in danger :))) oh. and the noise music. truly i hate this kind of music, but this is really good! I'm glad to win32 port, great work!
nice
yeAH
that's not my bicyclle
cooool!
my favourite mewlers/mfx prod
nice water
yeah
Music was to annoying for me to give it a thumb up.
mad
yeah... music doesn't seem as alive/raw/uncompressed as the original... but this demo is still the shit
Except for the highly annoying music this is quite nice.
Still looking good...
mektig imponert!
a well deserved 1st place.
oh god!!!! i saw it back in the time in 1999 and now i just remember how much it kick ass!!!!!!!
really great stilysh demo
really great stilysh demo
Nice visuals but very boring intro. Even the music is pretty boring. Link to the Win32 port added.
A tiny masterpiece
neato
too monotone, but good effects
Effectiive.
amazing stuff. ultracool!
Best ball lighting a tunnel effect ever!
truth in darkness
¡Bien!
YES! Very cool-looking effects and music that kicks my ass into the ocean - rules supremely!
An old fave of mine! Boop-Boop!
Bommmbommmbleeptürüüt!
Linux version and SDL source now available.
Dreamcast version downloadable here. Runs surprisingly well except the tunnel part.
Mac OS X version available here. Universal binary and a pretty big one too.
yay nice work Marq, gonna try the DC version just as soon as i get it back from my mate, thanks :)
Great stuff marq :D Had totally forgotten this demo, but it's a good one and shall stay on my hard disk.
One request though - it's a widescreen demo, but output in 4:3 so you get a border all the way round on a widescreen monitor. Any chance of fixing it for widescreen? I guess outputting in a wide resolution but setting it as non-stretched, and cropping the original output to fit the screen might do it as the OS will put the black bars back for 4:3 screens.

I noticed the same thing, but was so fed up with the whole porting that I didn't want to touch it any more :) Maybe later...
And finally for SGI/IRIX in the same dir.
Some cool effects.
OS4 port, including sources
Based on Marq's SDL source, but big-endian fixed, and now using SDL_Mixer instead of BASSMod.

Oh it appears spot beat me to it. There is an alternative OS4 port here. It seems Marq updated the SDL source at some point to double-up the resolution. Spots port is from before that change (and thus didn't require big endian fixes), mine is based on the latest sources.
Actually I did some hacking yesterday with Spot and now it's 320x240 endian clean with modplug :) So it's not exactly the same as the published SDL source.
Hah. Oh I see, so i did the same work and spot did, except i used SDL_Mixer instead of modplug...
speechless!
A bit improved DC version behind the same link. The tunnel part runs faster now.
PSP port here
Pretty incredible, I have to say. Don't know if there's any difference between the PSP port and any others, but it runs (and looks) smooth.
too noisy
Still gives me a hardon.
Okish
Love the ball in the tunnel with the light reflecting, very good stuff. A little too much time spent on some effects IMHO. HATE the tune. SW rendering FTW!! Oh and SRC FTW! lol
kick-ass
I'd say the track to this still holds up as one of the best in any 64k intro.
A quick-and-dirty Raspberry Pi version: http://ftp.kameli.net/pub/fit/ports/viagraspi.tar.gz. Sorry for the raster splits, but apparently they can't be avoided without ES.
what noby said
openpandora port: http://repo.openpandora.org/?page=detail&app=package.viagra_by_mewlers
PSP port runs great :)
Nice! We need more viagra, oh i mean demos like this. ;)
cool effects, crazy track :-)
Tune is cool, really love the water effect. <3
Too bad the w32 version won't start in fullscreen for me, so it's a sad little window lost on a big screen.

cool
very good. must watch it again now
Brilliant demo - enjoyed it on OSX - thanks! :)
Awesome.

I wanted to compile this for Haiku, but can't find a version of the SDL sources that don't use BASS? Is there an up to date version of the sources somewhere?
Yeah! That's better!
aggressive enough
not that good
neat
Nice!
the track is awesome and i've listened to it countless times. such a perfect little tune with banging sounds. The visuals have some nice moments.
never liked it. ugly visuals and annoying music.
very very good, and super happy to read through the source, both for the details of that tasty radial blur, but also the finnish comments etc
die tunnel is echt fokkin leip alleen als je goed kijkt klopt er geen hol van dus wat ze doen is niet eens fully projecteren :)
blijft een goed intro dit, fuck zeg. <3
