The only way to see this is by burning it to CD. If it's shit then I've wasted a CD and time burning it.

Why can't you choose a more practical platform, like Windows?

Why can't everyone use windows?
Shane's right. We SHOULD all speak French.
Get a damn network adapter or usb cable and view it that way. No need to burn it to cd... Anyway, quit bitching and download some windows prods ;)

Je voudrais un PS2 et tres grand parfum fraise preservatif pour mon chien!
fraise preservatif = préservatif de fraise

Merci!
Shane: préservatif à la fraise sounds better ;)

again.. how do i burn this? Just copy over the file to a CD or?
added on the 2004-09-03 21:01:18 by LHS LHS
LHS: you need to make a CD with some boot files and stuff too i think. And the ps2 must be able to load copied cds. I opened a thread to ask how to do it but got no useful answers yet, but I have a rough idea of how to do it so I'll try over the weekend if i have time and post my results.

ok tnx :) I have 1 empty CD left from a spindle, and i dont wanna waste many CDs on this :(

I've made a cd version of this prod (bin/cue), for those without network adapter etc. You can grab it here:

http://ps2dev.org/files/ahx_musicdisk_cd_version.zip

Personally, I use alcohol 120% to burn it, but whatever prog you choose should be fine :)
added on the 2004-09-04 12:43:45 by raizor raizor
you'll want to burn this in mode 2 :)
added on the 2004-09-04 12:48:23 by raizor raizor
ooooh thankyou raizor!
CD version link for the lazy.

How do i burn in MODE2 in alcohol 120%? Cant figure it out! AAAARG :(
added on the 2004-09-04 22:18:30 by LHS LHS
Yea! Fresh release! Nice to see an AHX replayer for PS2! AHX rules! I have a prob though..
I can't get it to run from HDLoader, is it possible? If not, why? No demos I have tried so far works from HDloader.. :(

And as for the alcohol and mode 2 thang, just burn the image with Nero, it will work.

nice musicdisk. and also a thumb up for releasing the player.

lhs: in alcohol, load the cue file, then select "playstation 2" on the list at the bottom. It will select the right stuff automatically. And just so you know, mode2 = RAW DAO in alcohol (i had to look that up yesterday).

The ISO didn't work for me, probably because i had no cdrs left at work and had to use a shitty cdrw, so i'll try again later with a real cd. It may also be because i have a jap ps2 with missing stuff in the rom... if it is i'll try to fix the image and perhaps upload it somewhere if it works.
added on the 2004-09-05 10:31:03 by psonice psonice
the ahx musicdisk doesnt use rom:LIBSD so no worries there. and future homebrew stuff will most likely not use rom:LIBSD aswell since we have a fully working drop-in-replacement called "freesd".
cd-rw's however will not work.

tnx psonice :) I first burned in mode1 ,i didnt read closely here first hehe. So i wanted to be sure how to burn without wasting another CD. Btw, im 99% sure that ps2 doesnt support cd-rw, thats probly why u didnt get it to work. I just tested it, works great! Now i can give the thumbs up :) Nice work!
rulez added on the 2004-09-05 14:14:49 by LHS LHS
yeah, i'd half expected cdrw to not work... but when you have no cdr and a pile of rw, and you're not sure, its worth a go ;D

yes, works perfect on cdr ;)

Great chip disk, nice interface, and plenty of good tunes. Very nice stuff, and it's good to listen to some nice chip while i'm in the lounge away from the pc.

Extra thumb for raizor's iso :D

BUG Found. Playing 'Critical Wound', after the first loop, sound and input froze, but the text scroller continued running.
added on the 2012-03-15 10:02:38 by smiker smiker
ZX81v2, it should run from the HDD. I had it working with HDLoader many moons ago. I got it working with PCSX too. That was June of last year, so the latest version should run it.

smiker, thanks for the bug report. not even sure I have all the code or a working PS2 anymore, so I doubt it will get fixed I'm afraid.
