Merry Amigamas!

What is better? YouTube videos or emulation? I say the latter, even if it requires more effort!
- 2024-12-29
-
By effort, I mean choosing the right emulator settings for the prod in question, at least so it runs as closely as intended as possible
-
Most people don't have the money or physical space for multiple items of real hardware, never mind the skills needed for soldering the components during repairs
-
Well, yes, better to use real hardware when making demos, because you want to make sure the prod at least RUNS on it!

I feel so sorry for Jay Miner's soiled legacy: Elegant, excellent, revolutionary and robust custom microchip designs let down by poor marketing by both Atari and Commodore, simply because they didn't know what they had on their hands

Happy 2025, all!

For a long time I thought that the Atari ST had NO custom chips, but then I heard and saw "Shifter" for myself in prods like DHS' Sea of Colour! It also allowed programs like Spectrum 512 to exist as well, and that was back in the 1980s!
