- well.. the only people who feel truly defensive about AI are those who most likely will lose job/sense of life cause of it, eventually as a risk. the rest is just new era to be learnt.
- regarding scrapping though. perfectly fits to dead internet theory unfortunately, which is just another reason why Web should die and be replaced by something less bloated (technologically), cluttered (content wise) and misleading (social media just needs to die!)
- seems like everybody who scraps is aware that there will be a counter-fight eventually so they want to grab as much as possible, before web closes its door
- Counter-fight => closing up public access, banning/filtering out whole IP ranges. Creating tech that blocks in more automatic way. Skipping web as primary client app. Many ways that can be cheap.
- a fallback to local communities is what exactly works to me on telnet BBSes.. much less noisy, much more constructive as well. Social Media/Networks is failed experiment hoping that everybody can talk to everybody in balance. That could never work for long.

- If fiber in DE is the same quality as highways, then I expect repairs and reconstructions being present every 100km… with slow downs, deroutes and traffic jams :>

- those were the times where every damn, trivial thing in computers was exciting and novel, not like today... nothing interesting nor novel anymore.
- venom: just a reflective autumn day, hopefully ;-) I was more worried if gargaj called this nihilism by example tho :D

- yep.. If EU screams so much about Trump it doesn't mean Trump is strong... it only means EU is weak.
- and this will affect the Demoscene.

- well.. it's snowing for last two days in what I call 'here'.

- If anybody from a different country than US is worried about Trump, it means his country is weak, not Trump is strong. Can we stop talking politics here?
- Or WOKE generation continues crying? ;) hug your daddy if you have one. Shall we carry on this pleasant topic. Trolling skills are valuable these days

- switching from c/c++ to javascript considering safety as a reason, simply sounds like a joke :)
- but come on I start hearing that RUST which was designed to fix C++ starts bringing examples worst than C++ itself. Not judging.. but isn't it that every technology is overbloated, overtime?

- shader scene, demo scene, game jam scene, bbs scene, THE SCENE, skidrowcodex.com I mean... nothing's changed, there is only more competition.
- light it up!

- no need to provide apologies or excuses.. all XX century metuzelahs will die obsolete before they discover the value of the aid.. while staying more below average with their qualities comparing to AI, faster than they can comprehend it.
- in one prompt? Technically not possible yet. I've tried ;D
- That could work!

- Personally, I don’t hype it; I just use it to my personal benefit, just fine.
- 2025-01-07
- It’s dead end topic already, same story all the time, same outcome expected as bashing Win32, DX, Unreal demos and no copy in gfx in the past… we’ll stop minding it eventually as a problem. Easy

- photon: what if I want to be perceived as hacker instead of an artist (meaning computer tinkerer, finding its limits of course)? I don't care abotu art.. art at scene is bullshit, there are better ways to promote art than demoscene. we're supposed to hack these machines not put them into frames!
- blueberry: exactly
