What is The BEST demo features for you? |

answer to topic:
anything, as long as it comes with a typical kewl demoscenish attitude ;)
fast-paced with lots of effects, perfectly synced to music, music having ups and downs, getting louder and quieter, faster and slower(-sounding atleast) having climax (also called dynamix), one or more effex as a climax somewhere in the mid of the demo (best effect presented in the kewlest way!), no boring parts or too-long-shown graphics/pictures (fast-paced as said, you can watch the gfx again separately later anyway!) and first of all a nice buildup. everything should blend into each other nicely via transitions!
so basically what asd does plus what amiga-demos looked in the mid of the nineties ;)
thats what i like! ;)
and after having said so, my actual prod_in_the_making doesnt follow my own style so far! DAMN!

What hardy said - like ASD, but mixed with hard techno and flashing symbols in time to the beat.
(But actually I do get what he was getting at, and agree. More of that amiga-feeling, but not the actual look of the demos of course :) |

I thought this thread was about features, as in: Hidden parts/codes, support for different resolutions and aspect ratios, randomization etc. But apparently it's about cubes and glow. ;) |

A color palette that makes me do a screenshot, to steal the beautiful colors for later use (nobody will ever notice). Was a bit tricky for Kings of the Playground, as it made me use KKapture as the screenshot only showed the blackest of all blacks. If that's a feature.. |
