You know what make me laught in the end, it's that skrillex is listened by people who are not into electronic music, or who were not... or who are just guys going to club. One of my collegue who is clearly into going to lame clubs (ghetta style) knows about skrillex and when I asked him what he thought about, to name one, slugabed (whom I love), he said he didn't like it... the same with clark latest album that has some dancy pearls.
Plus, it reminds me guys like brian transeau.. the guy who "invented IDM" right after inventing trance. |

You realize most people do this right? Dance music is made for clubs and a lot of people don't really like electronic music outside of that setting. (ofc. there are exceptions, but I know a lot of people that don't care about electronic music outside of dance settings) |

I just remembered some of his fans who discovered "new electronic music" with one of his latest albums (that was just boring electronic music) and they were like "waaaaaa, so intelligent" anyway... the guy is pretty egotrippin' about many things like the fact he acted like he nearly invented the stutter effect and microsamples. |
