... so here is my bet: it's a very rare magnetic phenomenum that could happen due to some specific calm meteorologic conditions.

... or maybe loaderror trying some fx.

While this is a perfectly reasonable explanation. this and as some have suggested, this are just so much more interresting. So I think I will pick one of those.

Still speculations about this? It's a faulty Bulava missile, blue color comes from rocket fuel. About that Bluebeam stuff, who the hell would make it look like a faulty rocket if you could make it look just about anything you want?

Thank you, and good night.

What you saw was the results of a failed russian missile launch.

What about this EISCAT radar system which seems to be quite in the area ?!

With this thingie in range and the russian military - of course - denying the "epic missle fail", I find it at least possible that there could have been going on an EISCAT experiment or something similar regarding the ionospheric heater-"device".

OR the most plausible thesis ATM:

Some of Loaderror's inner-loops went AWOL and caused some "mild" atmospheric disturbance :D

dodge. Well that is kindda obvious isn't it? What nation would willingly admit to something along the lines of ; yeah our weapon systems are unreliable bollox and little but glorified, expensive firecrackers. Hope you enjoyed the show...and that we will never actually have to fight hot conflicts with this crap".

All this said. This image is a give-away:

gas spill in water.

Gosh ... eebliss ... I have a subscription of the RT-channel for cryin' out loud.
Maybe the descendants of Korolyov should testfire some North Korean junk-missles - those actually were good enough to make headline news.

I just added another "possible" source to the collection you gave since nobody
mentioned the EISCAT installation near Tromsø.
At least - instead of "Blue Beam" - this thing is real and tempers with the sky.
