What classic games deserve a Next Gen remake?

I always waited for The Last Ninja 4 to come out but it never did. Now that I see all these crap-Ninja games for PS2/PSP etc. with more focus on tits and ass than Ninjas aestethics, I am glad that Last Ninja stayed 8-bit and kept the magic :)
but what if katakis could look like the one on its cover but also slightly better.. all shooter remakes i know arent at todays limits technically.. dunno if todays kidz could enjoy it.. seriously "do todays kids enjoy anything except war imitations". kiddy point.. i suppose. and offtopic.

I loved some of the old text adventures too, was always partial to Quest for the Golden Eggcup, but hardly a classic, good humour though. For a classic TA you'd prolly look at something like The Pawn, Zork(s) etc.

Stunt Car Racer!! Absolutely! You could have bits flying off your car and with texture mapping, you'll really get more sense of height!
Xeron: Many of these remakes would be better basically because they'd be more visually engaging and a lot of touches could be added (see above example) to give the player more satisfaction. Of course, I'm assuming that the sucessful gameplay elements are left in tact.
