I have a hard question!!!!

Furthermore, the final program did not work reliably when it was loaded onto other FPGAs of the same type.
So it's a prod that only runs on the compo machine then... how much more demoscene can you get? :-)

Easy. Make a prod that only works on your machine and give the compo crew a cold sweat for messing with their wiring during the compo. So it's a prod that only runs on the compo machine then... how much more demoscene can you get? :-)
ps: when I have my diploma (finally) I'll get heavily involved with drinking ;)
If then there's some grey matter left I'd love to do a GBA accelerator using an FPGA... who knows...

The conclusion to all of this is : we must open a FPGA section!!!
Hooray!
why not try this thing with 256b intros? i think modifying dosbox to use it as a testsystem for this fake natural selection thingie could work, as long as the algorithm which determites the selection itself doesn't suck (e.g. do not crash, initialize graphic mode, make a loop until a keystroke is made, decent output etc...)
who wants to bet that such evolved 256b intros will only run on dosbox itself? ;)
