Finally, some pics. Some of these are shown more in detail in my diy-folder. On to the list, I'll go through the items top down on each pic..
Pic 1..: - TB3k3, a diy keyboard version of Oakley Sound Systems 3030 (303 clone sound module). - Monacor SEM-320 tape echo, atm rather unusable because of bad (incomplete) calibration by yours truly. If anyone has schematics and/or service manual for this, please send it to me. Some compensation for this effort could be possibly arranged in the form of alcoholic beverages at a future demo party for instance ;). - Akai S2000 equipped with 32Mb RAM + filter dsp module. I also have some SCSI-drives (HD/ZIP/CD-ROM) and a SCSI equipped Win98 PC for using Akai's MESA editing software. - Amiga 1200 pizzabox, 28Mhz 030, 32Mb, 4Gb, A/D-converter and MIDI I/O built-in.
Pic 2..: - Rytm1, a rhythm section board pulled from a broken organ and built into the casing of a broken dvd player. - Rocktron XDC. A kick ass distortion box, but needs potentiometer replacement badly. - DBX Project1 274 quad gate/expander. - AVR Synth, a diy single osc dsp synth. - Yamaha TX81Z, the bestest source for 'Lately Bass' <3 - Roland GP-16 guitar effects processor. Don't really have much use for this; it was found in our studio and nobody else wanted it, so I dragged it home :). A rather noisy/hissy unit. - Roland R-8 Mk1 drum machine with a few sound cards (electronic, jazz, mallet and sound effects). - Some crappy Pioneer turntable. - Boss DR-220E drum machine, a total piece of turd. - MBSID, a diy SID-synth built along the design of Thorsten Klose. - Omnitronic dj-mixer (thanks Synteesi!), atm used as a preamp for the turntable. Might convert this to a MIDI-controller some day..
Pic 3.. Some computers and consoles, maybe these don't need too much descriptions.
Pic 4..: - A second-hand bought diy analog drum sound module, doesn't have any proper name. Broken down because of too much experimental playing by short-circuiting various points to device casing.. - Sony MD-player - Denon cassette player with a 1in10 sample cassette (!!!1). - A box of sound-making toys (and such) including the essential coconut halves. - Yamaha CS-15D, somewhat functional but awaiting potentiometer cleanup/replacement. - Roland Jupiter-4 - Roland Super-JX + PG-800 programmer
Pic 5..: - Alesis M1 Mk2 active monitors - Delta 66 audio card with a 4in/4out breakout box. - Behringer MX1604 16ch quad-bus mixer, handy for routing synths or other gear to the audio card input. - Sherman Filterbank 2 - Access Virus B, the work-horse that has contributed sounds to almost every single tune I've released during the past five years <3 - Sony ECM-T6 tie-clip microphone - Roland MC-202 synthesizer with a diy MIDI-to-Sync24 clock converter.
Left out (or not visible) from these pics are at least my music pc (AMD64 +3800, 2Gb), a diy condenser mic, a Yamaha CS01 synthesizer, a whiteface Arp Odyssey synthesizer (undergoing repairs), Digitech DSP-128 effects unit and a Ensoniq Mirage sampler (needs a SD/DD 3,5" floppy drive replacement). I can't remember the exact list of items there is at our studio, but here's some of them:
- Alesis HD24 recorder + 200Gb HD + Fireport adapter - Alesis M1 520 active monitors - a P4 PC with Powercore PCI Mk1 and Alesis LiquidMix - Soundtracs Topaz Maxi 32/4/2 mixing console - DBX 266 stereo compressor - SPL Goldmike 2 tube preamp - SE Electronics Z 5600A mic - 2x SE Electronics SE1A mic - 2x Sennheiser E906 mic - Sennheiser E845 mic - 3x Shure Beta 56 mic - Shure Beta 52 mic - AKG C1000 mic - AKG D770 mic - 2x BeyerDynamic Opus87 mic - 2x AudioTechnica Pro37 mic - 2x Elation KM201 mic - 2x StudioProjects B1 mic - Akai X7000 sampler - Eko Tiger 61 electric organ
..and a selection of various instruments like guitar, bass, perc and drums. |
