My latest pure quickbasic demo which got the 2nd place in Toshi's pure Qb democontest 2002. Still no sound (I am not aware of how to do a music player in quickbasic yet, but anyways most quickbasic demos doesn't have today..) some older 2d effects and my first 3d routines (3d dots, raycaster engine without textures and lotsa bugs) I think it will be also my last quickbasic demo for sometime (I may be back in the far future if I have time for that too), since I decided to cut it and concentrate on other scenes (Ermm,. CPC?) But I will be back but I don't think for the next Toshi's compo unfortunatelly :(

Sum more. Escape (or space?) passes to the next parts. The 3d dots part was unfortunatelly way too big (5 minutes of duration) and loosy (The animation you see is a recording of the objects movements while I was rotating/moving and changing them with the keys!!!) that's negative. Also the secret part with the copper effects fuxx up under windows. Still many bugs I would like to correct but there was no time since I wanted to submit something to the compo done in 2-3 weeks of connecting old stuff and doing few new ones. Also run the demo by clicking on ffixrun.bat, it uses ffix.com which is a memory resident Quickbasic floating point acceleration, really necessary for the 3d dots and raycaster. Sorry for the too much text btw...

Quite nice effects. It´s such a shame that there is no music but cool anyway... =)

pretty poor, but the 2d-blobs looked sort of nice actually :)

but honestly Optimus, 5 minutes of teapots and cows dot-plotting is overkill.

all the popular-10-years-ago-effects redone in q(uick)basic. Fun in a way.

Well, this brings back memories from the early days of demos on C64, Amiga and PC... :)
I enjoyed myself, it's been a long time since I've seen those dotspheres rotating on my screen (next time add 'motion blur' please ;)
