Beautiful rendering, but the ripples somehow look wrong - like there's just a single circular ripple from each splash. Still a very easy thumb for the rendering though :)

simple but okay fluids, nice rendering, and... music.

Caustics sometimes just look like circles, and other times are very convincing (when there's a lot of perturbation). A firstie?
Excellent work on physics, as usual!

Very appealing, esp. underwater part and sunset

Now when do we have it this good looking in games? My 7950 is hungry.

archee has quite some releases, and those caustics are also nothing new - neither is the water surface "movement", see my first comment on this prod (comment #2).

Archee: how is the surface geometry of the water surface represented? Do you raytrace on the heightmap of the water surface or do you convert it into another representation (SDF?) before ray-tracing? Or is that just a plane and you only displace the plane direction?
And why is there no filtering on the caustics? A bit higher resolution would also not be a bad thing.

The music was pure torture, but the pool was cool.

The music made my IQ go down by 10 points, but nice fun little 4k!

Archee style.
Nice water but ugly background...

Ripples look strange (what psonice said). Underwater camera was cool! For some reason, I was expecting some sort of discoball to show up at sundown :)

answering to las:
The water waves are a heightmap (I did full 3D water in another release). The water is rendered as 1024x512x2 triangles with raytracing (reflection and refraction part) starting from the water surface point. The background is raytraced first as a full screen quad outputting depth values too to cut the water polygons. The caustics filtering takes too much place, increasing the resolution of the lightmap of the pool or the resolution of the water would be too slow on the compo machine, which wasn't a strong one.

obviously faked - the pool was far from being that clean after all those sceners partied in it!
