I think that the result is not just nice, it is very nice. Simple and beautiful. Preacher you have damn good taste on aesthetics.

Different, and calming. Nobody knows lines and glow like Preacher. :) The tune was also quite nice. The movement and camerawork felt a little random though.

menace: there is a difference between true randomness and cherry-picked seeded randomness. For example, you can set a list of camera change _timings_ based on the soundtrack and leave the rest to themselves. :)

A bit of what Puryx said, but perhaps with a WAY bigger + for the music. It's really amazing, and I really think the visuals allow the spectator to delve into the music a lot more than if it had been a visually _very_ impressive production. I actually like, that the visuals are kept as simple as they are (simple in terms of amount of stuff going on at any given time) which leaves more focus for the music. Amazing track!

Hmm rewatching this after the compo proved to be quite a successful excercise since I realized it wasn't just glow and lines for the nth iteration. Visual quality is great, and the whole picture works very well with the music. I do dislike the very first scene after the title though.

Love this one for it's mood, which is of course amplified by that intense yet soothing soundtrack. Just hearing the sound of the ocean and the birds gave me chills with that master piece of a palette. So minimalistic, so effective. Really should have won <3

Don't know if the scene takes place underwater or above the stars, but nice design.
Wish I could run this myself, since obviously the YT version doesn't capture the main aspect of the prod. Still it has great music, worth a thumb on its own.
This is a very well balanced piece, truly beautiful, with a mesmerizing connection between the gorgeous music and alluring visuals, I really dig it, will watch it again and again i'm sure :)

archive extraction fail at 90% using 7zip (last version). I downloaded the file several times so its is not a network problem. I guess all sceners are using a cracked version of winzip ?
The archive was done with Winrar. I don't know why there's a CRC error but I would probably blame 7zip... it opens fine with Winrar and the built in zip support in Windows.

Whilst I respect the passion obviously gone into this from the direction point of view, using particles and strips just aren't good enough on their own for me visually. Maybe the dataset used is a bit more complex but the end visual result bores me a bit. Should have won though..

Some trivia: I wrote this in a week. I was originally supposed to participate with the demo that later became muoto, but I couldn't get that up and running quickly enough and I didn't have any music for it, so I decided to make a simple one-screener from scratch. I didn't have music for this either, but luckily Parsec did his magic and we developed this demo in tandem, me received a new preview of the tune each day and trying to come up with proper visuals. The last scene with the retracting camera was done at the hotel room in Cologne.
Fun fact: the middle scene (with the descending camera and the ribbons) was one of the first scenes I made for Muoto, but the colors were totally different and the camera moved from left to right. It wouldn't have fit that demo anyhow, so it's good that it was used here. Also, the flowing feedback effect for the screen with the title was taken straight from Spring Brought Us Withered Flowers. I don't think I even changed any parameters :)
