The game was nice, so was the music. There could be more levels :)

Download includes binaries for Dingoo A320 OpenDingux (the version shown at the party), x86 Linux and Windows. Ports for other platforms including Dreamcast, Canoo, Wiz, GP2X, and many others including eventually Android will be released later.

Final version, we fixed a few bugs and tweaked it a bit. Note that its "final" as in "final of the preview we released", its still a preview version of a work in progress. :) The final game will include many more levels and many other features!

Now also includes a Windows binary! Please read the "fullscreen warning" file if you want to play it on Windows to avoid a nasty bug. Our Windows coder isn't around to fix it right now. :)

I just noticed I accidentally uploaded a version with my own config in the Windows port. If you have downloaded it before me posting this you may want to redownload it if you have problems.

Some more notes:
- Go into the options to switch to fullscreen mode on PC ports.
- The level editor loads the last played level and overwrites it when saving. Backup the original before using it! This will be changed in future versions to allow any number of custom levels.
- Yes, there are only 4 levels for now. But before you complain, complete them. I still haven't! :) And then, well, make your own, and please share them!

I saw this and thought about the wonderful Imogen, unknown if related, and yet to try this ;p but still Imogen is worth mentioning!

This definitely managed to inspire those old gameboy feelings in me. I also wish there were more levels, but it's nice that an editor is included! I like the occasional puffs of smoke when the monkey jumps.

Topy: Not exactly a hard challenge, is it :D

The only thing that bothered me was that you can't do a descending wall-jump, but that might be my Super Meat Boy reflex at work.

Good oldschool gaming vibes, nice!

I was never a fan of gameboy, however this isn't gameboy and the game mechanics are working nice (except for the wall jump as gargaj mentioned), so....

here's a title suggestion: "super meat mario" :)

this is very cool. good old gameboy style.

Actually, we will probably stick with the name. :)
Yeah, more levels, we're working on it. As said, its a preview.

And no, its not in any way related to or even consciously inspired by Super Meat Boy or Imogen. :)

Great game and nice "gameboy-look". Also great that you port it to various platforms (Dingoo rulez)

Game with gameboy look-and-fell? What a surprise! Sweet, sweet GB nostalgia :)

I just tried the PC version. Gameboy look is nice and it will play better on my Caanoo. The PC version has annoying screen tearing here.

One thing I didn't liked and spoils the fun for me is that the jump has inertia, you don't just press the left-right direction and control it easilly. Well,. that's like reality, but when I reached the tutorial where you have to jump on an enemy I couldn't aim well (and then the frog came and I was dead). I managed to pass that level, but then I lost again. I could maybe get used to it, but at the moment I decided to not play this game because of this.

Bugo: Well, the way jumping works is not only "realistic", but also like in most good platformers. That is not going to change.
The tearing, however, is. The Dingoo does not actually support v-sync at all, so we didn't bother putting it in, and the PC versions we're an afterthought. Now that we are making other versions it will come.
