Problem was that I had some HLSL effects compiled using vs_2_a and ps_3_0. This was for some reason working on the NV cards and not on the AMD ones (no direct errors given either on the AMD). Of course the problem was silly, obvious and should not have gone into the effect code in the first place, but strange things start to happen when being tired... Also about another unfinished demo by us, the excuse this time was really the 64k we were mainly working on. We entered our 64k into teh competition, but the compo orgs let us know right after that the competition is cancelled. Thus we turned our remaining development efforts back into this demo.
