Ok, which crosseyed, colourblind, dutch, systems-programmer is responsible for the eyeraping colourscheme? I think effects were niceish, but frankly got distracted by the eyestrain-inducing palette. Sorry.

I get the feeling the ideas were there, but the execution was lacking in almost every area. For a crew with such experience, I expect more polish.

This was great! I thoroughly enjoyed the style of this one :). Solid production technically and aesthetically, very personal style and far from boring :).

Sorry this seems to be a collection of really bad ideas, very badly executed.

There is almost no saving grace in this demo that borrows very heavily from very popular productions from ASD and Farbrausch. How could anyone think this was a good idea is beyond me.

The execution is below expectations as several design and technical errors are made:

* Same old over-saturated coder's colours

* Same old "lets blur everything to hell" and post-processing flare overlays that obstruct view. The whole thing looks like it is rendered on a 320x240 buffer and scaled up with a cheap bilinear filter.

* Particles intersecting with geometry in plain view.

* Overdone vignetting that spoils any sense of immersion, by shouting "you are still watching a rectangular screen".

* The kinect effect was ok, although there is a stray pixel at the bottom left; which means that you can now "see" the rectangular frame of the animating sprite.

The whole feeling that I get from this demo is that it would kind of work in 2004 but not any more. At least that's my opinion.

What Navis said. It's very annoying to watch a demo and say "oh hey, I know this scene from somewhere…".

I am trying to figure out what the hell the story is in this thing. Like, if you would try to explain to someone what this is about.

First we see some fireworks. Then there's a street and something grows up the wall. Smoke comes out of a chimney. A person on top of a tower. Finally some sea animals or something. More fireworks. The end.

I mean, seriously. I don't necessarily expect a Hollywood movie. But maybe, like... some sort of an idea would be really nice. That would certainly make it much easier to get the prod stuck in people's brains too.

Just my thoughts on this :]

I think it is about the transition of material into etherial and back. The man/woman is awakened, becomes a spirit; the trip is over and back to the streets.

I enjoyed it, color scheme is a bit off at times but other than that it's a nice demo. Good transitions and the music is nice too. Oh, and I liked the greetings part. :)

Usually, my views are quite different from Navis' even if we're in the same group, but in this occasion I agree completely with what he said.

and yes.. the "deja vu" quotient was through the roof...

it's a very reasonable observation...

Good show but some textures are just ok, also some scenes seems a bit "empty".
