hardy : it is an icosahedron; it's being tesselated after generation.

A problem with raymarchers in flash is obviously resolution. In an earlier version of this I had an adaptive subdivision of screenspace blocks, but the interpolation routine wouldn't be fast enough at 1024x768 (the original resolution we where aiming for).

Now that Flash will get hardware accell, this will all change. In a way for me it partly loses the charm, because like Amiga's and C64, this little software renderer has it's nooks, crannies and tricks to get things done fast, which makes it a platform on it's own.

musics great.. and if these pixelshadereffects are done without pixelshaders and although with a "crappy" renderer this is atleast a megarulez! doesn't look like flash at all!

nice! Could have done with better choice of direction, but the content was sound. wop wop.

a flash demo without being a flash demo!

I especially liked the scene with the green icosahedron

pretty cool. a bit too much of a coder demo for me, but the mood is nice.

WUT. Deffo le bien!
Very good flash demo, not to sboring actually, I love the vector design used for introducing the hard workers.

An other proof dubstep and alikes are invading the scene but I still find it more refreshing than a dnb tune in the year 2010 so yeah, the tune is working quite well.

invading the scene? it's been here for ages boring the ass of everybody. ("shall I put the beat in half or double-time with the wubwub? I might even add an arpeggio line on a glockenspiel preset to be "progressive". wow this genre has so much depth.") but anyway, thumb for demo fx.

The audio wasn't exactly my cup of tea, but the real time effects were absolutely gorgeous.

A few really nice effects, pity it was so short.

design + music

<3 the "meta" icosahedron and the raymarcher. The music works pretty good.

The voxelball is fine in itself but it doesn't work so well with the other 2 super smooth and shiny "main" scenes.

Short. Basically 4 effects/scene + some. Could use some color grading.

I don't know how difficult is to make such things in flash 10. But this is just awesome...

Oh nice. Great colour and filmgrain effect makes for weighty and warm scenes. The polyhedron was really well polished. On the negative side it was a bit disjointed but whatever.

Great stuff. Really loved the wobbly object. Nice speed too, seemed to be running full framerate at 1080p res (although some parts were clearly much lower res.. but considering what those effects were, fair enough :)

amazingly for flash

typical demo, but done with flash! worth a thumb up for that alone :)
the raymarched isocahedron alone is pretty nice!
As for the soundtrack, let's say it's typical Gloom style :) Which seems to be overtaking the scene, just because Gloom s'been super active lately (or so it seems to me) but who can complain about a musician being super active!?

Very nice.

i'm not a fan of flash demos, neither norwegian dnb. The demo itself is ok, weak thumb.

This demo has substance. Good music, good effects, good form. :)
