Thanks to Jacob 'cupboy' Seidelin & David 'HZR' Håsäter for the kicks and tips. Deep down I knew 128b was possible.

The current version is 117 bytes big and works in Internet Explorer, FireFox and Opera. Alas webkit ( read Safari & Chrome ) can't trace this.

There's 115 bytes version, but it only work in FireFox and Opera.

JSYK these Mandelbrot Tracers are not so much the result of my work alone but more that of a collaboration/competition between cupboy, HZR and me. So, again, kudos to them.

128b... source... wow...

cupboy reached 113b by changing the output and trimming the BODY tag which alas only flies in FireFox.

So I had to do a 112b version working in Firefox & Opera. Meaning 111b for FireFox' eyes only.

Pirx: have you seen other 128b in JS ? I haven't seen any beside a sirpienski triangle tracer about which we had a little contest on a forum a few years back.

... oh, and 7, 7, 7

p01, I have only prod called "Diy", released on 256b.htm Competition, but it's nothing special. Can you give a link to this sierpinski stuffa?

There you go. Serpinski gasket in 100b of JS circa June 2004. :p I just shoved 3 bytes.

/!\ it doesn't work in webkit due the bug 20970

The JS community found a few tricks since then.

I had a quick look yesterday and took this Mandelbrot tracer down to 101 bytes

Enjoy,
